So, I bought Skyrim, updated it, played it for a bit (it said 1.4.7 in the menu), and then I clicked on 'Install' at the Hi-res Texture Pack DLC. And now, in my Steam library, Skyrim has a percentage next to its name and when I try to play, it says 'updating Skyrim'. But I already have the last update? And why does it take like over 45 minutes? I'm only at 25 % right now.
Or is it the DLC texture Pack, and does that take forever?

It is 3.7GB, so, yes it takes a while. Figure about as long as it takes to download a DVD or a Game.

Note, if you decide for some reason to not use one of or both the Texture Packs, do not delete them. Steam will keep downloading them if you do. Just uncheck the ESPs in the Launcher.

IDK for me playing raw Vanilla graphics since release it was quite a big change.
