Use the mount-system from World of Warcraft!

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 10:07 am

In Skyrim, horses wants to be tanks for dragons. This is expensive.
In Skyrim, horses wants to attack mobs, even so my sword/spells may hit him. This is expensive.
In Skyrim, horses may wander off, never to be seen again. Hopefully they will spawn at a stable, but there is no guarantee to that.
In Skyrim, the named horse can get in the way and die, or glitch away. This is sad,

In WoW, none of these situations can occur. The mounts go away when not riding them. Since Skyrim is so [censored] bugged in all cases, at least the horse-issue could have been solved by using a similar system as in WoW.

We have no control what-so-ever over what the horses do and dont when we're not riding them. I don't want my horse to die because he can't stay away from the dragon.

This list can go on for several hours.

Post your examples about the horse's free will destroying your economy/experience.

Post if you approve of my opinion, or if you think this would be b/s.

No to magical horses appearing/disappearing in puffs of smoke.

The current horses are fine, provided mounted combat is added at some point.

I don't want anything about this game to be remotely similar to that abhorrent tool of capitalism, better known as WoW.

Instead, in WoW, horses just disolve in water!

Capitalism is great. WoW is just a tool for separating fools from their parents' money.

The only thing I have against the horses in this game is that I can't fight while riding them... Hasn't Bethesda ever heard of mounted combat??? Seriously why should I have to take the time to dismount my horse just to fight the enemy and probably kill my horse in the process or die while dismounting as I tend to play on Master difficulty...

Horses may be cheap in this game but seriously they are completely useless...

Horses only wander off if you stole them.

Horses only wander off if you stole them.

This is intended yes.

But I often loose my bought horse as well and have to fast-travel.

And you less-talented guys, I don't mean a literall copy of the wow-mounts, but I want it to be so that they don't attack mobs, don't bug away and so forth. And I want the mounting/dismounting to be faster than it is, I can climb up and down from a horse way faster than in this game.

If someone is attacking me on my horse, the character should jump down fast as hell, he should'nt do what ever it is he's doing in the game.

And if the price to pay is a smoke puff, but the horse works as intended, I'd gladly puff all day long.
