I'm experiencing an odd bug that is causing my Use/Activate key (default "E") to not work properly. I am unable to pick up, or rather manipulate, objects within the game world. Whereas before I was able to pick items up and place them in another location, now pressing and holding down the key only adds objects to my inventory after I release it. This is more of an annoyance/hinderance than a true gamebreaking bug for me. I like being able to rearrange things within the game world, and am currently unable to do so.

I've tested all my mods through trial and error uninstalling/reinstalling (a 3 hour process...) and with absolutely nothing installed at all and still experienced this bug. I have not tried starting a new save to see if it is reproduced, nor have I gone as far as reinstalling the game outright. I'd like to avoid doing the former as I'm having a lot of fun with this playthrough and have a lot of time invested into it. Has anyone else experienced something similar to this, and if so, were you able to fix it and how? I've spent the better part of this afternoon researching the issue on various forums and google and have yet to find something that works. The one suggestion I saw was to install the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, but I already have the 1.6 patch compatible version installed.
