Actually, nothing to do with Bethesda. This is down to Steam, they're doing it with a lot of games. It does mean that download times will be quicker with the new formats.

edit: 'Should' be quicker anyway.

Yes, I pressed 'Cancel'.

Not in the middle of a play-though thanks. I had half my map places "found" vanish when patched... so no messing with patches or 'new formats'.

Download times, I can wait a few more minutes.... and wait until I start a new play-through.

Haven't had this happen, but I HAVE had the tutorial pop-ups (smithing, alchemy, etc.) pop up on chars that have advanced well beyond those tutorials. Dunno what else could have been mismarked, but all quest markers (completed yes/no) seem to be fine, as well as possessions and property (so far). I didn't get power back until Friday, so I've only recently updated and played.

Thanks for the info. Nice to see this. Guess this could be the main hint whispering in my mind as of late to start a new character ha ha :D

It actually doesn't touch the game's files at all, only Steam's files relating to the game.
