Using player.setcrimegold XXX <faction id>

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 1:04 pm

Hi all.

I have this problem in Markath that doesnt allow me to do the Stormcloak quests. My bounty is 9040 (for doing the prison forsworn thing) and all the city guards attacks me.

I know i should be able to set my bounty to 0 but when i use this command: player.setcrimegold 0 0002816c, it says that bounty has been set to 9040.

If i put 1 instead of 0 it says that bounty has been set to 9041.

It seems that i cannot set the bounty to 0. Any advice guys?

I have the same issue , you can add to that bounty but it won't go any lower.Somebody mentioned running up and targetting a MArkarth guard and typing in paycrimegold , but I haven't succeeded in making that work.Maybe try looking up that particualr console command and see if you have better luck. The other problem is it seems to be bugged wit the start of the forsworn conspiracy quest and doesn't register it as completed with the NPCs somehow and you get that loop of "you'll never see the sun again." Xbox users are told to go back into the shrine of talos and talk to the guards that will sill be there , but mine are lying on the floor as dead ass I made them for trying to frame me. +p

I'm on xbox, so i don't know, but putting a '-' in front doesn't help?

sneak into the city go to the temple of Talos, there will be three guards two will attack the third will talk to you "tell him he is corrupt" follow the dialog it will give you the option to pay off your bounty so long as you have to gold to do so it is the only way around the cletch caused by the quest. Do no attack any of the guards while doing this and make sure you have healing potions/spells at the ready as you might/will need them depending on your level and class type. if you get caught sneaking just run like hell to the temple.

Try "player.setcrimegold -9040 0002816c"

Just a shot in the dark as I've never used this command...

Been there too, had to stay away for weeks before I finally spotted another tip (for PC only): when a guard starts heading to you with that conversation on his mind, open the console, click on him then enter paycrimegold. Other than this, it may possible that each guard has to be given the "take me to jail" response as many times as he has witnessed (or heard about) you doing bad. I personally experienced one that finally (after maybe 8 or 10 times) accepted that I was ok and walked away - before I found the paycrimegold tip.

Good luck.

Just did a test and that's exactly what you have to do. It seems setcrimegold is behaving like a mod (increase or decrease value), rather than a set (force the value to X). On a second note, the code for Haafingar (Solitude) doesn't seem to work. I have 29BD0 as the form ID. Anyone have the correct one?
