Vampire super jumpfall

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:27 am

Now we've all seen at least one or two vampire movies and they all have super jumping and can fall great distances. I'm a little disappointed it is not the same in the land of skyrim. Hopefully that will change??

probably just super falling, if that. not seeing any incredible leaping vampires coming to skyrim anytime soon. you have immunity to one element. what more could you want?

That would be a lot of fun. It makes sense that Vampire Lords will probably be able to fall great distances in Dawnguard

vampires in TES are supposed to be different, you know? interesting and not a blatant rip-off of underworld. i hate the fakevampires in dawnguard more than the annoying fan, please do not ask to ruin them more by taking things from outside of TES and throwing it in for the hell of it

It's a general thing that all vampires should be able to do and I don't see how anyone would not want that ability if it only works as a vampire.

there is no vampire in TES that has some super jump ability. the closest thing is the levitation abilities of some clans. outside of the vampire's blood-line/clan they do not get much an avarage human could not obtain, just a boost to their physical and magical ability, not some super jump

Yeah lets stick with TES lore. I don't even like the idea of physically buffed vampires.

i thought they got some good buffs, just not insanly, stupidly unlore-friendly things like the ability to leap tall buildings the white-gold tower in a single bound (or survive the fall off of it either)

Atleast a capped jumping height enchantment. Sort of what they do with enchanting weapons. Like Unarmed enchantment is capped at 30%

The lore states different clans and types of different nations have vastly different abilities. Why not appearances as well?
I don't see how being able to shift into a bestial form and survive a great fall or posses agility more than that of a normal person makes them a rip-off of a horrible film franchise.
Also, since TES vampires have been said to be able to transform into a mist to disperse and escape capture, or to breathe underwater indefinitely and ambush by reaching through solid ice and pulling people under you're contradicting yourself.

Like I said countless times, I would personally like to see a jumping height enchantment that you could enchant from x2,x3,x4 capped. I could care less about jumping over castles. Just a extra little something for my stealth bow character that just got destroyed by the latest patch.

Actually, Vampires in TES II: Daggerfall, TES III: Morrowind and TES IV: Oblivion did gain bonuses that increased their jumping/acrobats potential and their physical prowess. Just take a look.

i never said they did not get a physical boost, i said they do not gain some super jump/fall ability. that is nothing more than some training to be an acrobat.

-snip snip-

the fakevampires look almost exactly like victor when he awakens (although his wings are a bit bigger iirc) but if you increase the vampire's abilities anymore than past games (which would be needed envoke this super jump idea) then you are just taking underworld and throwing it into skyrim. that last part is the lore, it has next to no in-game representation at all

Yes increased their jump height not "super jump". I would definately like something such as increased jump height by 100% but not no "spring boots".

Yeah I actually learned some pansies on here are afraid of skyrim vampires resembling some movies. Screw you guys. Jumping another ten feet higher or surviving a 50 foot fall is to much for you. Don't worry it probably won't happen. Go change your diaper an settle down.

I would personally like to jump four times higher than current jumping height; and to be honest. That is not very high. Just enough to get on to the top of small houses.

Hmm fair enough, wasn't really think about the percentage. I would go for 4x but I don't want to see Vamps jumping over a castle wall.

Me neither, Like I said in a previous post. They capped unarmed enchantment to 30%

Are we talkig about all vampires or just vampire lords? I don't understand why vampire lords couldn't get extra jump height. Maybe a double jump. Tap jump once for normal and twice for a flap of your wings to get that extra height.

Fair enough. And I agree with you. It would be cool to be able to have a higher jump height. For balancing issues I think werewolves, even in human form, could do it too.

And to those saying its not part of TES lore... Vampires aren't an elder scrolls original. I haven't read Dracula in a long time but I'm pretty sure that most people's ideas of what a vampire can do all stem from Dracula and similar books from around the same time.

Are you saying that TES vampires shouldn't be hurt by the sun because that would just be copying Dracula?

Another great example of vampire lore are the Anne rice novels. the vampires in them have superhuman abilities. Lestat can climb on walls, run super fast and fly without wings.

Point is, when it comes to vampires it's been done no matter what. And I don't think giving them the ability to jump a little higher is lore breaking. Especially when there are far more farfetched ideas out there. If beth introduced sparkling as a side affect of being a stage 4 vamp in sunlight then yes. Then you can complain. I'll be with you. :D
