Vampires VS Werewolves?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 6:22 pm

So Dawnguard was about Vampire hunters and a clan of old vampires that wanted to block out the sun. When I first heard about Dawnguard I was hoping that this would be more of a war between Vampires and Werewolves. I really think they should do a DLC for a war between the two, anybody else with me?

No, It is kind of cliched to have them warring with each other but I would like a dlc to improve both species a bit more.

I'm really just looking for Bethesda to dive more into depth with both species, I don't really care how they do it. Its just more known for the two to be fighting one another.

Again it is a cliche for them to be fighting each other, in elder scroll lore (as far as i know) they have not had much problems with each other, they might not like each other but they do not hunt each other down and kill one another. They keep to themselves. Again I say that they both do need improving.

No, I think they should focus on other things, not more vampires and werewolves.

Maybe if it was a minor plug-in like knights of the nine, It could expand on the companions it make it so everyone in it is a werewolf. They could be 5 or 6 new quests for the companions who are fighting the Volkihar, and vice versa for the volkihar. If you win in the end you can have werewolf followers, and werewolves or vampire lord and vampires guarding the faction house. That would depend on what side you chose.

P.S. Then again everyone loves cliches that is why they became a cliche in the first place.

^ This seems like a waste of development time better spent elsewhere.

Lycan vs. Vampire scenarios are about as played out as Zombie and Post-Nuclear Apocalypse settings.

This isn't Underworld. Vampires and lycanthropes have nothing to do with each other barring the fact that they were created by Daedra; in this case Molag Bal and Hircine respectively.

I think a expansion should expand on the vampires and werewolves that you play. The expansion should just upgrade them but have a completely different story.

Yeah. This dlc was enough, especially for vamps. Onto the next, I say!

I think I'd rather see them band together against a new enemy.

Actually, one Vampire mentions that Werewolf blood is a delicacy and tastes amazing.

Just for the record, in my game atleast, the Werewolves devoured most of Skyrim in a single day, and then tore the vampire lords to peices for fun. -chuckles- As i'm playing both sides of the story with different characters I thought I'd be a wise guy with my uber-vamp and let a werewolf out of it's cage  It didn't end so well for me. Before I could even flap a wing i got ragdolled across the room and torn apart.

Tbh I have no problems with all the dlc being vamp lord realated however.

Vampire stuff for main bulk of it is done for skyrim, it got its spotlight.
Now its time for new adventures.

I'd prefer a confrontation with the Thalmor that takes into account the factions you lead and the sides you've chosen up unto this point...
