Vanity displays?

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 9:52 pm

I've collected quite a number of rare or unique items throughout the game that aren't weapons, armor or books. Will there ever be additions to housing for the display or such items? ie: Eyes of the Falmer, Azura's Star, etc.

PS: More housing and furnishing options, please.

Azuras star is pretty handy. Best to keep it on you.

This. That's what I do. The house in Markarth has the best places to position things, and the Windhelm house as well.

Put them on various surfaces throughout your house?
The tops of bookshelves are good.

Dressers, side tables etc.

Breezehome has a great set of shelves just inside the front door where I have all my bugs in jars and cool little things like a centurion core.

I tried positioning them in the environment, but everytime I leave and come back, everything is strewn about like I used Unrelenting Force on it or something.

Ah, yes this is the thing.
The game doesn't take it very well if you place over 9000 items in one go.

Also pro tip, go into your house, drop all the stuff you intend to display on the floor.
Leave house, go get a mead or something at the Mare.
Reenter house... pick up and place objects.

90% of the time this makes objects "settle" in their positions for me.
I also save manually after I've placed any objects.

Thanks for the tip, it's still doing it though. They'll just have to gleam with immeasurable worth in the bottom of my chest.

True, although I've crafted, arguably, the best gear that I can. In addition, I have more filled Grand and Black Soul Gem's than I know what to do with and likewise with gold. It's an ornament and an achievement contribution more than anything to me.
