This vault was pretty awesome, the posters were hilarious and then chilling as you realized what happens.

I do want to know what happened to the shooter at the entrance, though; there's four bodies there, not five, and he doesn't off himself.

The end was ridiculously hard, those 8 turrets were murder.

The Vault was pretty interesting. It's funny when I entered the final room with the projector I knew for sure something was about to go down so I just crouched in the corner hoping the room didn't combust or something.

I'm asking myself the same question... not sure when they opened the vault door, but maybe the shooter is wandering outside somewhere.
At the end I was killed in an instant the first time because I was still sitting on the couch. second try was a bit easier though... the 2 pulse mines at each side helped ;)

I believe it's near the Helios one plant.

When I first entered I thought it would spray knock-out gas or something.. or just wouldn't work because of an error/disabled protocol... Anyway I experienced what most vault dwellers of vault 11 did :P

I almost did, but paranoia and a metric ton of stimpacks got me through. Raul and Rex on the other hand ... they went down the moment the fun started.

For those who are wondering where the survivor went, check Nellis Air Force Base. Corpse is near there.

Well, he did sigh and drop the gun there.

I still think the reveal once you complete the room was jaw dropping. I just sat there for a good minute or two after playing the automated response.

I totally did the same thing. That was quite an amazing little find. I kept wondering, the most of the way through, why the heck the posters were that way. Then I started to finally get it when I found the security office. This vault has got to be the best vault story so far in FO3 and NV.

Also, the robots didn't really stand a chance against a grenade launcher!

Vault 11 is probably one of my favorite pieces of static storytelling (as in you can't really affect an "outcome", you just uncover the story) in the Fallout franchise. It's also nearly a text-book example of Fallouts dark humor I think, lingering perfectly on the line between "omg that's hilarious" and "omg that's some twisted stuff". It's extremely well done. One of my fav moments I had when playing this game is just having listened to the final reveal, making my way back through the Vault's empty corridors severely bruised and beat from the combat encounter. Great stuff.

I totally agree! I just wish they didn't cut him out. I would've loved to hear more about what happened in there.

We need to get into Obsidian's supersecret headquarters guns blazing and demand information about the survivor.

I loved this little gem of an unmarked quest, but one thing that bothered me, and outright angered me, was the stupidity of Roy Gottlieb of Justice Bloc. Why in god's name did he decide to nominate Kate's husband Nate despite doing all he asked of her? For the lulz? Did he really expect there would be no consequences to such a pointlessly malicious act?

"Hahaha! That Kate sure is fun in the sack."

"Hahaha! Yeah, good idea Roy."

"Hahaha! I'm totally going to nominate her loser husband anyway, too!"

"Hahaha! For no reason at all? That's great!"

"Hahaha! Yeah! Betraying a woman who is clearly willing to go to any lengths to protect the life of her husband can't possibly come back to bite us in the ass!"

"Hahaha! We're dumb!"

"Hahaha!"

I was hoping that the survivor grew up to become Caesar, it would explain why he's such a weirdo.

And I agree with everyone else, Vault 11 is one of the most thought provoking and challenging places in any of the games.

I wonder about the pre-execution slideshow though, why does is it show a life led outside a vault? It's more "and this is what you could have won" rather than any life they could have lived.

I assume it's to prepare them for the afterlife.

But yes, Justice Bloc basically had already decided to murder the guy and didn't have any other candidates.

It makes more sense, I suppose where there's a limited number of people to murder.

It's a pity, I was hoping KATE was the Vault-11 survivor.

The slideshow was created in the context of 2070s America, and the first people to be sacrificed would have remembered things pictured in the slides. Also, Vault-Tec's social experiment division was apparently run by idiots.
