Vault Exploration

What was your favorite Vault, or Vaults, to explore and why? What did you take with you into the Vaults and... what, did you find?

Tough call, I enjoyed killing the Fiends in Vault 3, but the story behind Vault 11 is just, wow. That being said, 34 was just annoying to me to explore and 22 I kept getting lost in. :banghead:

Vault 19. Because it was straight forward, go in, kill the geckos and get out.
And the people there were alive and sane. Less together than when they started, because of the foul influence of the vault.

I did want to blow up the foul, disgusting place though. But the sulfur mine is too precious to destroy. If I could have destroyed the vault without destroying the mine, I would have.

I loathe and despise vaults. Interesting to look at, and to see what sick, disgusting experiments they did on the poor people, but otherwise, they are foul and nasty. I loathe and despise vault tec and anything to do with vaults.

The rest I got horribley lost in.

34 was ridiculous! I went in thinking helping the sharecroppers was best, but wanting to help the family, but after 3 minutes of being irrradiated, attacked by ghouls and lost, I said F*** it, get in, save the sharecroppers, get out and never think of it again! I got so pissed off I got to a point, said screw this and left for a long time. Charged back in a long time later, swearing, and getting angrier by the minute, gripping the guidebook, and shut the vents down. Got out as fast as I could.

If I could I would destroy every single vault in the game.

I thought vault 34 was very hard compared to the others, but you do get some great loot out of it. The All-American is awesome.

I would have to say Vault 34. It had that creepy feeling to it and at the end of the tunnel was all those goodies to get.

21, because it was the smallest. I've hated exploring vaults since FO1, so yeah.

It was a tough call, but the epic story of vault 11 won me over.

Vault 34 because nothing beats that armory in that place.

Vault 34, just because of the loot. I hate that it was like a maize though.

Vault 11

On Legion playthroughs, I sometimes take medicine just so I don't have to go in Vault 34.

^ ^ This. Most difficult, yes. Most annoying, with constant radiation and a confusing series of puzzles to open key doors with, definitely. Most rewarding with awesome loot that makes it worth going back a 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 44th time? Completely. Once you've cleared out the other vaults and experienced their stories, there's no real reason to ever go back again, other than an odd skillbook or quest item or something. Most of their rewards are completely underwhelming. But the Vault 34 armory? That's worth learning and perfecting the ability to clear the place efficiently, which I have.

After 2-3 times, it was no problem at all. You take your advanced rad suit and plenty of radaway and rad-X, the radiation is a non-issue. I come back out with more of those meds than I go in with usually, due to there being plenty down there to loot. Using stealth and keeping my companions safely stashed well behind me where they don't cause any trouble, it's downright fun to stalk the feral ghouls all through the vault- and once you learn to expect several guard ghouls to regularly spawn behind you and are always ready for that, you rule the place.

Loot-wise, the best of the other vaults might rate a 3/10. Vault 34? Easily 11/10. Only vault worth bothering with.

I loathed Vault 34... at first.

After going through all the vaults so many times, I've really come to like 34 best.

edit: and NOT just for the armory - I like slaughtering the ghouls and the general atmosphere of the place.
