I don't know if this is an intended event, or it's a weird glitch/bug.

I am currently on my third play through and in my previous two this did not happen. I have the save to prove it and every time I go to the gunrunners I get hit with an orbital strike similar to the Archimedes 2. I have tried fast traveling to a nearby location and then fast traveling to gun runners, and I still get hit. I have tried sleeping first and then fast travelling, I still get hit.

No matter what I do, if I go to vendortron I get hit by an orbital strike that kills Isaac and everyone outside of the gunn runners building. At which point everyone inside comes outside and starts shooting me.

What makes matters more confusing is the fact that I have used vendortron for the entire game with my character, but for some reason at this point in time in the game I cannot use him.



I will upload my save so you all may see, but be warned my character has a very offensive name and I do not want to get in trouble for it. Please advise!

Sounds like karma for your character's "highly offensive" name. :shrug:

I bet you were just trying to do the impossible and kill vendortron, then it went all wrong....

Sounds like someone ticked the Enclave off...

Okay update. I put both of my companions on wait here and went ahead and took a hit on the orbital strike. What I did was fast travel to the east freeside gate and took the hit there. With medex and a bunch of preloaded food I survived and then went back and picked my companions up.

So I then continued on my quest line and just made it to vault 22. Now I see the 3 lazers charging and combining into one, as if it is going to fire on the vault 22 entrence. I waited for about 5 minutes of it nonestop charging and just alt tab to give an update...

I can hear this sound clip playing everytime you get lazored or the "Ima firin ma lazor" clip. I would love to see a video on this bug. :rofl:

It sounds like the range finder bugged out and kept giving the targeting lights and no boom? well thats a good time to reload as when you save and later reload the game realizes the laser should fire.

Load a different save and turn down the difficulty, then reload your current game and you should survive.

I already took the hit with medx and preloaded food and played on.


Just loaded the save again and sure enough it's a perment event for me, as long as I fast travel anywhere near the vendortron.
