[Wip] Venezia

Heya all!

I have been working on this private project for a couple of weeks now and so far it's coming along pretty smoothly. I've always been disappointed with the amount of casino's on the strip so I thought it would be nice to add some of my own to the strip! I've already made lots of small casino's however I was never really happy with it. So I tried to add some casino's which are more close to the original strip as we know. Right now I'm still working on the first one, however since it's a great amount of work I already notice I'm working to long on this one project which means that I'm not really sure how much I will add. Right now my plan is just to finish this one. So far I've only made the exterior of the hotel which I will release once it's finished, later I will try to build an interior for this casino as well. There is only one problem with this whole project, I am a modeller/texturer and ever since Oblivion I feel really confused using the editor and try to avoid it as much as possible. What I would like to do is to move the last cell, with the embassy/vault hotel one cell and place this hotel right next to the Tops. I have no idea how this is going to involve with other mods, and it will probably cause 100s of quest bugs but I'll figure that out later. Right now I'm building this casino on a test cell behind the strip just to see if everything works. So far I also have no plans on adding a quest to this casino. It would be nice but I simply have no idea how to do it nor do I have the will and intention to learn it [lol]. Which may be a shame but there are plenty of modders out there who may be inspired and feel like making quests. Also I don't really have the intention to work together with someone so far on this mod though I might need some help with putting the final plugin together but I'll get to that later.

The casino may look huge on the pictures but the hotel towers are just as high as the highest tower of the Tops Casino. Also it should be almost as big as the Tops. It will probably look bigger because of the canols [which still have to be filled up with water somehow lol] I tested the scene and it doesn't lower the fps too much since I kept most of the models very low poly+ are vertex painted for shading. Anyways, enough talk for now here comes the visual part. Oh the picture's haven't been photoshoped however it may look different ingame eventually because I'm using special shaders. All models and textures by me. Also I don't think the inspiration for this casino doesn't need further explanation.

Any chance of it being compatible with NVR? It would be even better if this was just integrated into the next version of it. That seems especially viable seeing as you are not well-versed with the editor.

I have no idea, I can contact the modders after I release this mod if they would like to add it to their mod. Since there won't be any scripting or quest writing involved so it would be very simple to transfer my models! So I guess that will be a yes if the modders of NVR would agree. But right now I'll try to finish this mod for the vanilla strip. Afterwards I can always see if other modders would like to add it to their mod :)!

Its beautiful. Well done. Very, very reminiscent of Venice. But yes, an NVR Compatibility patch would be awesome, and no doubt I don't think the NVR team would mind at all. Especially with work like this.
