Hi,
I have been using Veronica as an companions as I quite liked her. The annoying thing is, she disappears. The first disappear of her I was lucky, as randomaly she came back and interacted me with the Brotherhood and Still in the Dark. Passed a lot of time with her been helpful, and now she disappeared. Ive played for like 3 hours and still she hasn't been found. She is not in he 188 trade post either. I'm kind of stuck now, as I can't find use any other companion without sending her, and she has my Mini Gun...

Any ways I can get out of this mess? Anyways to find her, or ways to ditch her so I can get a normal companion?

When a companion disappears, often times I'll find them in some random spot where they've mysteriously been told you "Wait". I never told them to wait, mind you. Sometimes they simply decide to do it on their own. When back-tracking isn't an option, sometimes you just have to explore until they either catch up to you or get bored and go home.

Just had this same problem with the same companion about an hour ago. I started wondering where she might have been. I still haven't found her. A NPC even commented on her and she wasn't by my side.

There is a definite bug where she basically stops moving, and won't follow you no matter what you do. Search the forum a bit and you will see a few threads about it. One of them has a fix that has to be done via the console(at least on the PC). I did it, and it worked for me, but I don't remember off the top of my head what the commands were.

I've had her just plain run off on me in the middle of a gunfight, I was like ''wait Veronica you have all the ammo!! Come back you coward!''

they also tend to ignore you if you tell them to wait. i had them waiting at outside of vault 34 and all of a sudden when i was deep inside the vault on the second level i heard her voice..........nothing. i thought it was an audio glitch but then all of a sudden i started hearing fighting and then she and EDE come waltzing around the corner. i left them up there specifically so i could sneak around and do criticals on the ghouls.

I read about this on by way of Google search. Go to Vault 22 and take the elevator to the fifth floor. I just did this a second ago and she was there! See if it works for you. Awesome.

This is a very lame bug. I was so in love with this game and then this game, kinda hurting. I'm now trying to find the commands to find her, if anyone has any ideas please share.

YES! I found a console command that made her come back, she had the wait command somehow. Finally. I like her, eventhough she has low HP due to a bug...Might ditch her when I finish the Brotherhood quest.

On a side not - How do I make Veronica equip a laser gun? If I let her choose range weapon, then she uses 10m pistol which I somehow can't find it so remove it. Can't force her to use energy weapons...
