If you have not given this combo here a try I seriously suggest you do. She will take out any and everything in your way with this combo and all you have to do is sit back and reap the rewards. Great Great Great

It works even better with [Unarmed-based PC + power armor + (that shotgun glove)] + [Veronica + power armor + Pushy].

This is because her default attire actually has a decent amount of DT to it, so she wont equip what you give her unless it's better than what she has. Companions only equip the most powerful gear in their inventory.

It's the same reason why even after getting her a dress because she said she always wanted to wear one, she wont wear it.

Well that svcks.
Obsidian should patch that.
So that if we put a new armor/clothing item in their inventory then they'll change into it no matter how low it's DT is.

I would say it would have been better to have had another option on the wheel for specifically choosing what they'll equip. Otherwise if you use the characters as clothing pack mules they'll start changing into whatever was last on the list of stuff you put in. Though I guess you could then just take out what you want them to wear and put it back in. Yeah that actually would work just fine for the most part.

What ticks me off is that these new companions will drop Faction gear on the frickin' ground if they wouldn't be caught dead in it.

You know what, Boone? I'm not asking you to WEAR that Legion armor, just CARRY it.

And I swear to Christ, ED-E, I will shoot you myself if you drop another set of Powder Ganger armor.

I just told you not to do that, ED-E.

Assume the position.

The easiest solution is ethier to make all companion outfits removable.

The best solution is to make another bar in the companion wheel that you can select what weapon, ammo, and armour they wear.

Then they would die/KO too easily. Every time I put something in their inventory for storage, they would wear it. So Raul would take off his Power Armor and put on Benny's Suit even though Benny's suit has like 1 DT.

What do you mean? In favour of another weapon in her arsenal? Take it away from her! She likes "take charge" gals.

Then put in the PA armor again.

Then put in the PA armor again.

You can do that? How?

I can move things back and forth between mine and their inventory but you're telling me I can dictate between what they USE and what they STORE?

I feel a little foolish if that's true...

P.S. clarity: if Veronica, say, likes the power fist and I want her to use a gun, I take the fist away. But she'll return to it the second it's in her inventory again. Point is: there are things I want her to *carry* and things I want her to *use* and I have no direct control over that. Example 2: I cannot get the BoS armor inside Ed-E (yes, even when his inventory is empty) - I can store a radiation suit no problem but the BoS armor he just throws on the ground (literally! It's kinda funny in fact.) saying "This character doesn't have the requirement for this armor." Well, no joke: he's an eyebot! Why then can he carry every other suit (or gun for that matter)?

Felicia Day is Veronica!? Now I need to see her in naughty wear..............Anyhoo, in order to fix the companion clothing option I'd say they just replace the repair option (triangle for the PS3) with an equip option. If a companion needs an item repaired we can always switch it out to our inventory.

Umm...no. They were talking about selecting what they wear, and he said that they would put Benny Suit on instead of PA. Also, companions cant carry or wear faction armor.

Are the Casino's considered factions? Because Veronica absolutely loves the White Gloves attire and mask, though she won't wear the suit. Yet, I can have different relationships with the casinos, like a faction.

Early on (Pre-Primm) I got her and a suit of Power Armor before I did anything else. She was a tank who ran around exploding convict heads. Good times.

Shame she doesn't level up properly like the other companions.

You know what, Boone? I'm not asking you to WEAR that Legion armor, just CARRY it.

I didn't even realize ED-E dropped a suit of Centurion armor that I wanted until I was far gone and realized they would drop other factions' armor.

It's times like that where the Ballistic Fist fulfills its purpose.
