Version choosing!

Post » Fri Sep 30, 2011 2:31 am

Trying to decide which version to get is getting really irritating! I own a 360, a PS3 and a PC that surpasses the recommended requirements to run Rage. So which version do I choose?! PC version is out because I have a good sound system but don't have a good sound card in my computer, so my sound will be WAY better from one of the consoles. Plus i'm more of a console gamer, hate having to tweak settings (antialiasing, etc.), i prefer the simplicity of consoles. I have scoured the web all day trying to find out which is better between PS3 and 360 version and have gotten absolutely nowhere. I'll i have seen is contradictory statements! I don't care if one has 3 discs and the other has one, that's the only definative thing i could find all day. Where can i find out honestly which is better without having to deal with [censored] for one or the other. I would have no problem waiting until reviews and comparisons are in if everyone wasn't offering the stupid free upgrade to anarchy edition if you pre-order. If you order after release, no free upgrade! How am i supposed to pre-order if i'm going insane trying to figure out which version to pre-order? The whole thing is setup to annoy everyone! By the time the reviews and comparisons are out and you know which version to get it's too late to pre-order with bonus! AAAAAHHHHHHHH! Thank you for watching me complain.

So the previous thread on this subject was too hard to find now that it's all the way down to the first post on the second page? :sadvaultboy:

Both console versions were designed to be the same the only real difference might be some load times depending on what the ps3's 8 gb install contains as opposed to the 360's full install but its not clear what amount of performance boost thats really going to get. I'd say go with whatever controller you like more or whatever system you have more friends on.

Unfortunately you have to wait until reviews and comparisons are out for a 100% definite answer.
But there probably won't be much disparity. The game shares the same textures and assets and runs at 60fps on all platforms.
So it shouldn't really matter which version you chose :)
