Umm.. so it sounds like you have bigger problems If it says that the game is "unavailable" as it is a game that does not require you to be online with steam in the first place (as you pointed out). But you do not need steam to run the game.

Really though, I would not focus on that aspect, I would instead focus on why you are getting that message in the first place when you should not. Try verifying integrity and even possibly reinstalling. There is no reason why you should be getting this message unless there is something else going on that is a deeper cause.

That happened to me a couple of days ago. A few minutes later, it was "available". Since nothing had changed on my end, I am assuming Steam had a problem.

ok, so I retract my previous statement and edit with: "If you are having continual problems, I would think it is more of an underlying issue than anything else since online is not required"

Go to your game in the Steam library. Highlight the game. Go to the upper left hand corner and choose Steam. Click "go offline". It will ask if you are sure you want to play in offline mode. Choose "yes". You're welcome.

Not to spam, but saw this on the pinned forum.

If you are seeing the error, "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time," there is a simple way to fix it.

1. Close Steam. Right click on its icon in the System Tray, and Exit.
2. Go to Steam's folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
3. Find the file ClientRegistry.blob and rename it or delete it.
4. Start Steam again. It will re-download the client.
5. You're fixed. Have fun.

Thank you for all the input guys, appreciated, had the message 4 times then rebooted my pc and it worked, was pretty annoying though. Been playing since release and haven't seen that message before.
