Very good twist on the war questline Bethesda!

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 11:51 am

I applaud bethesda on making us hate the imperials at the beginning of the game, and then when we do decide to ally ourselves with the stormcloaks because of that hatred we come to realize that the imperials were the good guys all along.

I do say, working for the ulfric stormcloak could be comparable to working for osama bin laden, saddam hussein, or any other maniacal, power-hungry leader.

In the end i grew a very deep hatred for ulfric, and ended up deleting my level 51 thief because i just couldnt stand seeing the stormcloak soldiers around skyrim any more. I deeply regret siding with this maniac!

It was a nice twist though i think good or bad is a bit more subjective with the two, i personally saw good and bad with both all throughout.

yup telling you about ulfrics personality is clearly a spoiler. i wish someone would have made me aware of the idiot before i sided with him and wasted 50+ hours of gameplay >.>

I joined the Stormcloaks despite having considerable reservations, but I mostly wanted to see how this side of the quest played out. I enjoyed it quite a lot, and like you I was particularly impressed with how much I ended up hating the Stormcloaks by the end. It's a shame there isn't an option to change sides, after you're half-way through, once a Silver-Blood (of all people!) became Jarl of Markarth I was ready to through Ulfric under a dragon.

I look forward to siding with the Empire later on, mostly because of Claudia Christian's involvement, but also to see if I end up as dubious about them by the end. I've certainly found the Thalmor to be wonderfully despicable, and I think it's fantastic that Bethesda gave us the choice of supporting them . . . or supporting them.

You do realize the Black-Briars become jarls if you support the Empire right. If you like how they run, take a look at Falkreath and the old, apparently crazy Jarl of Morthal.

as hated as the thalmor are I cant see Bethesda not giving us a wonderful expansion that allows us to unleash our max leveled dragonborn upon them. Hopefully while leading an army of legionaries or stormcloaks.
