Very slow game

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 4:41 pm

Even if I have (GeForce 250), and the game became very slow when I want to sell or buy or improve my items or searching items during the game, and I can’t buy a new video card. I will continue playing the game.

That's correct, none of the shops in Skyrim sell videocards.

What CPU do you have?

You give the impression that you think it's very important that everybody hears what you have to say, ahmedghaz.

What settings and resolution are you playing? Have you tried lowering g your resolution? That lag your experiencing is because you have the settings too high, or the res too high.

Might be worth downloading Skyboost. Your CPU has a low clock speed, and it might help.

In a very slight improvement in performance in the last update (1.4.21.0.4), and skyboost r4 doesn't compatible with this patch, and I would to thank the developers for their works because is not easy job.

If the game ran poorly on every hardware configuration, then it would be Bethesda's fault. However, especially since the recent patches, the game runs really well for most people. The issue isn't with Bethesda or the game, its with your PC. What do you mean by "runs slowly"? Low FPS? Mouse lag? Does it happen everywhere, or only in certain places?

You still haven't answered my questions.

What do you define by slow? Mouse lag just in menus? Mouse lag generally? Low FPS in certain areas?

Over Clock the Heck out of your PC, my CPU is a AMD PhenomII x4 810 clocked to 2.6Ghz but OverClocked to 3.1Ghz and i been running the Game everything on Ultra Detail and AA/AF 4x with an HD5770 on 1280x1024 Resolution.

The best you can do is OC your CPU (if you know how and its also risky) and OC your GPU, this is your only and last chance to make the game run faster since 2.5Ghz is rather SLOW for Skyrim, since the game LOVES faster Clock CPU than MORE Cores CPU, the game will run only 1fps faster compared to a Dual Core CPU and Quad, Hexa or more Cores.

Before you start pushing your PC's components, take your time and defrag your hard disk. I've learned not to expect from anyone to keep a dedicated partition for their games...

And you STILL haven't answered the question!
So don't be so rude when someone is trying to help.

A game can be in SLOW motion and still be running at 60fps. (think bullet-time Max Payne style)
When you walk it is SLOW compared to sprinting.
If mouse clicking an item takes 2min to respond , that is SLOW.
If the game takes 2min to start/load, that's SLOW.
Etc...etc...

So saying "the game became very slow" doesn't accurately describe the problem.

Since you're mentioning buying/selling, is it that it takes a long time for the game to respond when clicking on items to buy / sell?
Or is it Frames Per Second that is slow?
Or do the FPS simply drop after exiting the menus and returning to gameplay?

Anyway, with your poor attitude toward others trying to help, and even unwilling to try and provide the info needed for others to help.
Along with just simply blaming the game for poor performance when your pc specs aren't that steller to begin with, I don't see you finding a solution anytime soon.
