Victor's not confirmed as a permanent follower, that was speculation someone put up. However, I like him so far, so if he's a companion that's great. I'd probably choose Victor for my "good" playthrough.

Though I'm most interested in Raul at the moment, so he's going to be the first follower I get.

Also there's a confirmed Dogmeat-like follower. Is he permanent or only temporary? I have no clue. Here's his page though: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Rex_(Fallout:_New_Vegas)

Didn't really like the robot dogs in FO2 myself, they seemed like kind of a weird cold and mechanical substitute for Dogmeat's warm companionship.

Kind of undermines the great relationship with a man and his dog when the dog is actually smarter than you. I'd be willing to give them a second chance in New Vegas though.

I dont really like the idea of cyberdogs but I guarantee I will recruit it, it will die and I will get upset.

Rex isn't supposed to be that kind of a cyberdog, but rather a dog who's brain was removed, and placed in a jar atop another dog's noggin (or robotic dog's noggin. Doesn't specify). So while he may or may not be mechanical and cold, he'll still have a personality (if that matters for you).

But I'm sure he's just one possible non-humanoid companion. I'm sure there'll be a Dogmeat alternative.

I'll probably just go with Arcade Gannon. Gotta love someone who's ex-Enclave. And I might have the chance to get my grubby hands on some APA.

If I can't get him, I'll try and recruit someone Ceasar's Legion related, if that's possible.

Arcade Gannon looks to be an interesting and I hope he has alot to teach about the Followers of the Apocalypse. Plus he's to be at the Hoover Dam. I just hope he's not ex-Enclave. Van Buren was to have a character called Gannon that was ex-enclave. This was before Beth and FO3. Enclave on the West are gone. Second he looks to young to be ex-Enclave from the West Cost.

I was going to go with Boone, but once I saw the concept images for Raul (what Raul SHOULD look like) I felt like I needed to recruit him instead. I suppose we'll see.

Probably going to have to go with either Veronica or Arcade for my humanoid companion. It's probably going to be Arcade since he seems to line up with my play style and Veronica is a Scribe and probably not a very good fighter. Raul seems interesting too, plus he comes with a perk that slows weapon degradation. Ooh, and Marcus is definitely going to take 1st over the others if he's a companion. It's very possible since almost every voice actor they announced is playing a companion or major plot character.

yep, you can have one humanoid and one non humanoid following us at any given time
