Video Games vs America

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:19 am

Wouldn't it be interesting to see what a battle would be like between a fictional video game organization and the United States military? Imagine fighter jets, Marines, tanks, ships, submarines, helicopters, soldiers, and everything else going head to head with say Ganondorf and all of his minions or Bowser and the Mushroom Kingdom. What wars between video game universes and America would you find interesting?

The Army of the Adoring Fans versus the US, British, ANZAC, Swedish, Dutch, Germany, Italian and all our allies. The Adoring fans will kick out asses.

I just can't imagine how would any modern military stand against any sci-fi game where advanced weapons are involved.

Most of such scenarios would just end in massive orbital bombardment, or quick defeat on ground battle against Powered Armor suits and Mechs.

Anything in the video games wins. Probability will sneak into the back alley to be serviced by drama throwing all logic out of the window.

I propose a fight between America and the three Elven antagonists of TES series. Let's see how America does against the combined forces of Jagar Tharn, Dagoth Ur, and Mankar Camoran, as well as their respective henchmen. Well... maybe America would win. Jagar Tharn and Mankar Camoran would be too busy arguing over who should rule Tamriel while Dagoth Ur just shuns both of them for being outlanders.

It depends on which side you look at things from. :P

I fixed it. I think it's time I get some rest now that I'm mixing words with incorrect definitions.

Hmmm---I'm thinking of a US joint military forse called JSF (Joint Strike Force) and they have this giant satellite that fires nuclear warhead tipped rods from orbit in some sort of Kinetic Strike and there's other factions that have their own WMD's. It will be an RTS like game I'll call it---WarEnd---no wait I'll call it EndWar---oh wait---they already have that out...nevermind lol.

I've always wanted a game where you play as the Germans in a WW2 game. It could follow a series of people from Stalingrad to dday to the atrocities of extermination and labor camps. And everything in between too :).

North Korea is in fact a real place, sir.

Why America anyway? Why not, say, China?

What about games that involve the American military? You'd be pitting them against themselves.

Aww, i was hoping this was about that game law thingy the USA. How did that turn out, BTW?

And the cyborg ninja assassin character i play on New Vegas could take on USA by herself  You can't kill what you can't see. Until the stealth field collapses :bolt:

Yes I know, but it is still real. Besides, I'm pretty sure that the OP was talking about things that could not possibly happen, such as dragons Vs. America, or Aliens Vs. America, or... The Darkspawn Vs. America.

Why must it always be America?! :glare:

I know, but it would still be awesome.

And Caesar's Legions vs. America would basically be Caesar's Legions vs. the NCR.
