You can't see your legs, sorry man
Shouldn't really affect gameplay in any significant way though

I hate to be rude, but your friend is stupid. (Please say that directly to his face and say it's from me, oh and he gets a :cheat: )

But you get a :turtle: , and welcome to the forums.

P.S. I don't know if you can see your legs.

Tell him he should never be in a debate of any sort also, and that's not being rude, it's a word of advice.

Not that it's a game killer, but I find it lame that you can't see your feet when this game features sliding.

You can't see your legs for the same reason you can shoot while you slide: Splash Damage wants you to be able to shoot at anytime.

So, while it may not be so accurate, you can shoot while you hop, climb, jump, and slide, and there won't be any pesky appendages blocking your vision.

Now apologize to Splamage and thank them for their amazing game.

Eh maybe later. I've been playing Bulletstorm and you can shoot and slide in that game. However, how I remember in my mind, the transition is pretty stiff. Overall, it's possible, but I'm not sure if they would be sacrificing looking low or anything like that, contradicting fluidity of the game.

I find it nice that they do have the visual cue of the hand pressing and pushing along the ground, also giving an inaccuracy cue (Not having two hands on the gun equals less accuracy). However, out of context, it looks like the guy is pulling himself along the ground.

Crysis likes to disagree. You can slide, shoot and see your legs in it. And it looks quite awesome when you can actually see your avatar. But then again, Crysis doesn't have customisation, which allows an easier display of the interface with full body view.

That being said, I was quite amazed finding out that you can always see your legs in Crysis 2.

I didn't know both Crysis games (the first one destroys innocent computers, lol, so I never played the first one) feature your legs. Was it really brief like Mirror's Edge? (Love that game)

But for me, not seeing legs is not a game-breaker. I didn't even know you could see your legs in Halo, and that you can't see them in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I never really looked down much in video games---just straight ahead, lol.

*Cough* Killzone 3 lets you see your legs.. *Cough* :whistling:

It's not a game breaker for me, but it I like the immersion you get. Makes you feels like your really in the characters shoes, not just a pair of floating hands.

Really? OMG, I have watched gameplay videos and NEVER noticed that, my goodness!
Shows how much I really look straight ahead and shows how FOCUSED I am on the killing of red-eyed dudes, lol.
Did Killzone 2 have it? I have Killzone 2, but not Killzone 3.

Ok, I think I'm missing the issue here.

What's so good/bad/whatever about being able to see/not see your legs?

Good: You feel more in the game, with a more pronouced effect of "You aren't playing this guy, you are this guy. It also helps tremendously when you want to jump over a tricky gap.

Bad: It's a tremendous workload on the engine, and slows down everyone by ~10 FPS, which can really harm gameplay.

Or at least that's how I see it.

Basically some people like seeing their legs because it adds to the immersion, while others don't like it because it hinders their ability to shoot down
I personally don't care either way

Nah, Killzone 2 didn't have it, it seems like most of the newer games are starting to include it though..

If you have Killzone 2, we should game sometime. No one I know has it.. And I get lonely.. :ermm:
