Views of the Solstheim Dark Elves on the Empire : V

Just out of curiosity (and to ensure I make the right choice for the Dunmer character I'm building for dragonborn), what view do the Solstheim Dunmer have on the Empire? Is it like in Morrowind, where they look down on all outlanders? Did the empire grow on them, but then they felt betrayed when the empire did nothing to help them when the argonians invaded? Are the Hlaalu still popular? Do they feel like the Dunmer on the Skyrim mainland, where they see the Empire as good for the Dunmer?

1) This. Pretty much in a nutshell.

2) No one I've encountered so far in Raven Rock has a good word for Hlaalu. Redoran/Hlaalu relations are not good right now, to put it mildly.
