I'm confused. I've turned on the three generator switches, so the main part of the quest is complete. The issue is I'm still holding onto the sonic emitter and I can't seem to find a way to get rid of it. The only walkthrough I can find says to go to the "S" (I assume 'south') area of the generator room and place the sonic emitter in the ants' nest.

The issue is I've searched every inch of the generator room and the only nesty-type place I can find is this small corner that has four or five "egg clutches". Upon interacting with any of them, it simply opens up inventories. Since the sonic emitter is a quest item, I assume there should be a dialogue asking me, instead, if I want to activate the emitter. And because it is a quest item, I can't just dump it from my inventory (no, not even in the egg clutches). So now I'm stuck with 5.0 wg of useless quest item crowding my inventory.

Is there something I missed?

Its not in that corner, its like 10 ft around the wall of that corner. Its a 5ft high mound, wait for the click dialogue and then once placed, you have to activate the radio.

Gonna borrow this thread a bit... I cant seem to find the whole god-damn power room !! I admit it, I was a little drunk when playing the last time, and cant seem to recall where it was supposed to be I have ran an good hour around the Nellis AFB trying to find it. Please help.

I always use the emitter, it just makes the quest so easy. Jump down to the floor of the building, fry all the ants, then flip some switches, and boom. 300 XP for you. Only easier quest is "The Moon Comes Over the Tower".
