Hm, not entirely sure if i prefer valve or bethesda to be honest

I actually voted for Valve, I have never been dissapointed by Valve. Valve care about the PC community thus their games aren't as clunky as Bethesdas.
I simply have more respect for valve than I do for Bethesda.

Damn, just about to make a thread like this... Ninja'd . My vote goes to Bethesda, valve are a really good gaming company, but I just prefer Bethesda's games.

Beth are not doing too well against valve now, but they are a good gaming company I suppose.

Uuumm..bethesda cares about the pc community. You have mods,Creation kit,better graphics,can create machinimas,cool console commands,And yeah you pretty much have everything

By this logic Valve just hates us. You know steam, valve, HL2 and every single valve game that followed... Also Beth had change in the heart for PC users. After they saw the sales of course

TBH Beth just recently started to care about their fans. It seems they gave up being abusive(horse armor anyone) and realized the importance of a loyal fanbase who pre-orders the games and buys every DLC and expansion. They started act like Valve so saying that they're not caring for PC user isn't fair. They wronged us more than once yes but still they're getting better: creation kit, patches, texture packs...

Me personally, I don't think Horse Armor was a bad idea. It was just way overpriced and should have been included in the game, especially since it was a day 1 DLC. If it can be a Day 1 DLC than it should be included in the game.

1st.. i liked the horse armour :/ besides someone has made cool looking horse armour for skyrim anyway.

2nd.. Oblivion had a CS, patches, a free DLC without having to use steam, i assume morrowind did as well but i havnt tried it yet >.<

3rd.. yes its my own biased view on steam/valve from my own experience.. (below)

valve + steam for me are the same villain or the same family of villains.

valve + steam force users to install a draconian drm program on they're system if they want to play they're games or other companys games put on steam.

you cant on steam sell your own games if you've had enough or finished playing them even though you have the right to.

but im sure you know as well as i do as much as i do love beth & skyrim but sticking F3NV+Skyrim on steam was a big mistake.. but they did it for once reason.. profit... i can bet 10million percent they knew skyrim had ALOT of critical bugs and knew alot of PC users would have returned the game (as a lot of xbox,PS users did), steam was the easy alternative ie guarenteed profit, thus not really thinking about they're " loyal fanbase".

Fallout3 and New Vegas are different games. And Fallout3 was good, New Vegas was AMAZING.

Also I cannot vote for some reason. I signed up last week buy there is no freaking vote button for me. I asked for support and apparently I have to make another account, as I am using the same one as last year. I WANT HALF LIFE 3. Does it really take this long to make an "episode"?

I would, but I couldn't vote either. I can click the vote button, but it just brings me to a popup describing the four contestants and I can't figure out what to do from there.

im not picking on NV incase you thought i was i have the game myself, 2nd mistake i ment was beth sticking it on steam just for guaranteed profit.

Just making a cheap horse armor mod to milk some more during the heat of the release was wrong, not bioware wrong but wrong.

Oblivion and Fallout 3 had patches too(i may be wrong) but Skyrim is already 1.5 and they were significantly good for the performance and didn't break other things(at least not much as F3 Oblivions patches did). Texture patch was a nice touch too.

I too agree steam is at the end a draconian drm program and while it r@pes you, during progress one can even get pleasure if he doesn't fight back hard. Steam did all the evil at once then just kept doing nice things so years passed and now everyone loves steam. I mean: almost. everyone. loves. a. drm!? btw believe me i hated valve and steam with passion but i can understand their reasons and what valve did can only be perceived as a necesary evil but not abusive 10.000 year old lawful evil vampire lord who feeds on scared and disorganized folks, evil or in short EA evil.)

Also if you ask me Skyrim had much more stable release than both oblivion and F3(don't remind me f3 :S) , i for example had only 3-4 bugs during first 100 hours.

Voting for valve? Mediocre games, bloatware drm, hostile takeover of mods. You'd have to be out of your mind to vote for valve.
