I want Skyrim to win.
Open world rpgs are almost an eclipsed genre and even if i'm not 100% satisfied with Bethesda for Skyrim, i want this genre to continue to exist. And encouragement from extra advertisemant and sales helps.

I want Skyrim to lose simply because I thought the effort put into Skyrim was overall half-assed. A good game overall? Yes, but I don't want Bethesda getting a pat on the back for slacking off when they could've done more. The factions, storylines, NPC reactions to player actions and some of the perk/skill balancing (no I don't mean Smithing and Enchanting are OP; I don't care. I mean some perk trees as a whole are absolutely pathetic, and some skills level at an odd rate) could all use a lot of work.

Half-assed? And thats coming from a Fallout NV fan? woah (dont get me wrong that game was best fallout since...2, but if anything was "half-assed" then its that game)

And no i wont vote, who cares if it wont win?

I'd like to say that Skyrim basically embodies the values of the majority of G4 people. Realistic graphics, emphasis on combat, violence, blood, etc. while Skyward Sword has a more impressionist style that is like a complex taste in food. How Skyrim seems to be preferred among G4 gamers reminds me of how little kids don't like coffee because it is a COMPLEX TASTE.
Skyrim came after Oblivion. Skyward Sword came after all of the other Zelda games. They both follow their series, but Skyrim is just a repeat with new and better toys, where Skyward Sword is a whole new thing in graphics, music, story, and combat.
Just trying to use logic here. For me, at least, the answer is obvious as to why Skyrim is currently winning. The answer is also obvious as to why Skyward Sword should be winning."

It's been bouncing between 51-49 and 49-51 since the voting started. The odds of it being that even and not deviating to 52 or 50 are extremely rare. I call shenanigans on g4tv. Has anyone seen it be anything but 51-49 or 49-51?

Thanks for the heads-up. I voted for Skyrim as it is more my play style than Skyward Sword, although both really deserve such an honor. All I had to do was log in with my facebook account. Next time you post a link please make sure you don't leave a link to a page that has already been voted on. When I got there it said I had already voted when I know I clearly did not.

I was never a fan of Zelda. The lack of a decent story and characters with no personality kinda turns me off. I suppose no voice acting was for the better though, cause i couldn't stand Tingle with a voice. I don't even have a Wii anyway

Bethesda took two weeks to fix 15 bugs, and actually caused more. Skyrim has around 500 bugs on the PC. So if they continue with their current schedule of fixing around a bug a day, and adding multiple new ones, they should be done fixing bugs in 2013.

I'm not holding my breath.
