I'm reporting a bug on the Waking Nightmare quest in Dawnstar. At first, the priest that has been leading me around would never appear inside the tower, even when he entered it first. This happened several times when I reloaded the saved game. Then I quit out of skyrim, and re-entered the game and it worked out just fine. Next, after we went down the stairs of the tower and fought the two orcs, he wouldn't do anything after explaining the barrier and his true motives. After reloading the save again, he once again began walking me to the library. Now the problem is that he ALWAYS completely stops walking when we get halfway up the stairs to the library gate. When I reload the save, quite and come back in, or even use unrelenting force to try to push him up the stairs, its like he has completely forgotten the task and just stands there like a drooling ice troll. This is the first quest I've had any sort of problems with, so I'm curios if anyone else is reporting this problem since the patch.

I've got the exact same problem, Erandur just stands on the stairs like he's had a lobotomy.

Yeah he got stuck on the stairs for me too.

However, I was able to "push" him up the stairs by continuously running into him. Took me a while but as soon as he reached the top of the stairs, he carried on walking of his own accord again.

I never tried Unrelenting Force, so I don't know if that works the same way.
