WALKABOUT - EXTREME ALCHEMY

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:02 pm

Did you find it yet? It's at the very top of an island almost exactly between Dawnstar and Winterhold. The island is to the east of the bigger island that's closer to Dawnstar. Good luck!

fantastic find and I do so like an egg for breakfast !

.......perhaps I'll leave it.

In Frostflow lighthouse u get an quest upon entering, that sends u to the basemant and beond, only go in with emty bags and a follower to help carry all the charous eggs and mushroumes, ull get hundreds, especially the eggs i got almost 500. other than this place u will often find that the falmers r really good mushrome-farmers and charous holders in all there caves.

That's because Charous are their pets. If anyone wants to know locations to any ingredient just ask me I have the strategy guide.

Very nice....making just 3 of these levels up alchy, and it shows a value of 3387. Invisibility for 133 seconds!

This is a good topic. :goodjob: Anybody know where I can find a lot of Dartwings of any color? I caught a Dragonfly out in the lake by Riften once but I haven't ever found alot of them in one spot.
The marshes around Morthal have a lot of them. You have to be sneaky to get them. I go into sneak mode and sort of drift up towards them, spamming the activate button as I go. If you disturb them before catching them, they fly away. Also follow the rivers and you'll come to pools where they hover. Lots of them in the Reach.

Dragonslaying, pff. My dovahkiin aspires to be the most famous dragonfly wrangler of Skyrim.

Oh, also- the pools where you see dragonflies very often have alchemy fishies in them, too.

Can't think of any great places of the top of my head but I thought it was funny that just the other day I got a Hawks beak. I've been playing for about 300 hours and have never seen one.

Hawk's Feathers and Beaks...At the various shipwreck sites a lot of hawks will be circling fairly low at various times. Best during daylight hours and far, far easier than trying near Solitude.

Shout at Dartwings, Butterflies & (maybe) Hawks for a shower of ingredients.

Swim rivers for fishes, duh. They almost always come in 3s.

3 big bee areas -- island in the lake SW of Riverwood, the cave someone mentioned upthread and a small grove west of Whiterun.

The road running parallel to the hot springs southwest of Windhelm is great for Jazbay, Dragon's tongue and creep cluster.

Tons of Juniper in the south western hills.

Farms are full of Chicken's Eggs (look for the lean-to) and wheat.

Still haven't found a decent source of giant fungus. A few in the swamps, that's it.

Anyone remember the name of the cave that has the giant jazbay patch?

I found an odd place way to the east where there was evidence of a shipwreck. The actual wrecked ship was further south, but I found a skeleton laying on the shore next to a cracked open crate with 6 gold ingots. Its very close to the edge of the map east of winterhold. Found it while I was searching for a lighthouse. Nothing alchemy related (besides some fish and dragonflies on the way).

They are always planted in cemeteries, or near those standing stones with altars. Try swamps around Morthal too?

As was mine changed, when I learned the Great Secret.
(Actually, not sure about the hawks. Thought I saw someone say it worked, but I've never remembered to try)

Heh. Celan.... probably you want to try with Fus. Though, I do have to say, with that one you might be looking for body parts all over Skyrim....

Also,

- in Solitude, altho I feel terrible about it as I have 4 budgies, I shoot down the hawks that fly overhead in the market area (1 hawk beak and 3 feathers)

- sometimes you can find a beehive hanging from a tree (1 bee, 1 husk, 1 honeycomb)..... there's one in a tree west of Whiterun, just about where the "6.O" is on the map
