Cause Bethesda believe that everyone should be able to do everything in their games.

Non of this restrictive 'logic' stuff.

There was a thread were sopmebody said they became the arch mage, and had only cast 2 or 3 spells in total.

Not like in Morrowind where you needed stats and skills at certain levels in order to advance through the ranks, not just completing tasks.

To program "in-game logic" is not on Bethesda's payroll.

One spell to gain entry, one ward during the lesson. In Mzulft you need fire and ice spells to focus the Oculory, and in Labyrinthian there are two element sealed doors.

You can gain access to the College using a Shout during the MQ, and you could probably use shouts in Mzulft and Labyrinthian too.

So in theory, you could become Archmage after only casting one spell.

The general cop-out seems to be that you were either "chosen" or have superior "managerial traits".

I'm gonna try putting that on my résumé. I'm a good leader because I played Skyrim, and Brynjolf and Karliah said so.

You're like the head of the Bruma mages guild in Oblivion. Look busy, nod when spoken to, have the right friends and act important

The thu'um part might be somewhat reasonable if anyone else in the college seemed to care about Dragonblood or the shouts.

Does that mean that the entire College will be killed by necromancers?

True enough. It'd be cool if the some of the dialogue was changed a bit, if you entered the college that way. Because being there for that reason makes enough sense. It is magic. Just dragon based. Just like the Psijics practice a somewhat different view of magic than others (Mysticism), so the Greybeards and dragonborn do as well. And mage colleges are all about uncovering the truths of the universe or whatnot.. they would gladly welcome different perspectives.
