I bought the house in Riften and it comes with a dock and a boat with two fishing rods:

If you look at the map there is a lot of contiguous water in the game and it would be nice to take your boat, perhaps pay the cart guy to haul it to another body of water, and row it to close to your next destination. Then you could quest and bring your loot back to the boat to store and to haul when you are finished with the area.

I dunno perhaps a Dwemer outboard you have to feed soul gems to might be cool as well.

I say yes to that! It would be really nice to take your boat along the rivers and lakes of Skyrim... have to be ready for the waterfalls though

I wish there was a fishing game too, I see fishing rods but you cant do anything with them, so dissapointing.

I'd like the boats to work... rowing would even be ok. All those boats just sitting their.

and a fishing mini-game, make much more sense than catching with hands. You ever try that? it ain't easy!!!

Earlier in the game I floated down all the rivers gathering Ninroots.
In some places it felt as if I was rafting down the Grand Canyon.
Spectacular scenery. Only died once going down a waterfall.

I like the idea of using a boat, but not the idea of a "Dwemer Outboard".
