Or no one really cares? I know it sounds rude, but why would you go through all that trouble? Just get the game for PC, then you can have access to mods as well!

This topic will probably get locked, as modifying saved games for PS3 and Xbox 360 are against their Terms of Service and therefore are not suppose to be discussed here.

if you intend to play on 1080p on ultra-max. im sure you could run it decently on slightly lower settings for a new system 700-900.

My system is over a year old. It runs Skyrim and WoW maxed out, and cost just under $800 shipped - barebones no-OS box from TigerDirect. Quad core, 16gig ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX460 SE, 1.5tb drive etc. I already had an original G15 keyboard and a decent logi laser mouse. And a couple extra 1tb data drives I put in when it got here.

Quote some solid specs so I can build a new PC today. Thanks.
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3-3.7GHz Turbo Unlocked Multiplier
GPU: Radeon HD 6870 1GB
MB: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 PCI-Express3.0 SATA6Gb/s USB3.0 ATX
RAM:Corsair 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CAS 9 1.5v
PSU:Seasonic M12II 620W 80 PLUS Bronze Modular
HD:Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB SATA 6.0Gbps (hd prices are stupidly high atm and you might even consider ab 80-120gb ssd instead)
CPU FAN: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
CASE: NZXT LEXA S LEXS 3 x 120mm 1 x 140mm
DVD: ASUS SATA 24X DVD Burner

TOTAL: 220+165+122+48+80+127+24+80+19 = 885

The most important component will be your CPU, skyrim is ridiculous poorly optimized and is also heavily cpu bound, to play on 1080p with EVERYTHING maxed except shadow draw distance, you wll need an i5 2500k overclocked to ~ 4.0 ghz. 60 FPS gaurenteed in all inside locations (houses, dungeons etc), 45-55 fps on world map, 32-36 fps in the most intensive areas of the game (whiterun, markath).
Next is the gpu, 6870 is the best value card and higher tier cards provide only small boosts in performance.

Finally, use this mod, it will boost fps by 20-50%: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6058

Too much money. It's why I got out of PC gaming. I can't afford $1200 for a new PC every couple years.
