It also adds ammo weight
Need to drink, eat and sleep
Can't heal crippled limbs with simpaks
Stimpaks take longer to heal you
Food does not heal you

If you want more you can always get mods.

He is saying he has found out some small effects from hardcoe mode.
Such as if you want to aim at something that is far away you have to aim just above them for the bullet to drop.

Alternative translation: the hardcoe mode is little more than an inconvenience and has no real effects on gameplay. As it is now, i agree.

It has no effect on game play? Seems like it does.

I want a customizable hardcoe (maybe after you beat it once) where I can turn off the dehydration and leave the rest, or play on normal with ammo weights.

Also enemies should have been harder in hardcoe.

"No real effect", i said. Rates are way too slow for them to be a problem, and the minor "sickneses", which is the most i've ever gotten, don't have any serious negative effects. Ammunition has weight, but again it only really matter with MF cells and explosive ordnance. In practice the effect is barely noticable, partially thanks to the generous carry weight one gets with even moderate strength which means it's still easy to carry more than enough food, water and ammo.

I agree that hardcoe isn't very hardcoe. They were probably afraid that people would complain about it if they went too far.

If you were smart (and have a good PC), you got the PC version and can mod hardcoe to taste.

It's not "hardcoe" until they add going to the bathroom..there really wouldn't be anything more satisfying then killing a deathclaw then taking a dump on it.

I can see it happening in the same way six happens in the game. The screen goes blank and then there's a large, brown coil on the ground. In hardcoe mode, it would attract a swarm of Bloatflies.

I haven't had a brown coil on the ground after I've had six with Joana, but if I did I would blame it on Rex...or Boone..they like to watch.

tbh... my H20 is the only thing I need to worry about in hardcoe...that and crippled limbs.

but one of the best feelings in this game is limping around the wastes with a crippled head, low ammo and not using fast travel.

want more realism?

only carry what would be realistic.. ie 1 rifle, 2 pistols, 1 melee, 3 stimpacks.. etc..

I have dont this since morrowind>oblivion>F3 and it makes each much more realistic.

A thousand times yes. This is by far the most realistic addition they could have made. Nothing can ever be too dangerous if you can call upon a small arsenal of weapons that any given situation may require. Choosing perks wisely, choosing where to put your skill points is what the game is about. Why not be forced to choose between weapons as well? I use this rule myself, and have extended it into a workable rule.
