(feral, not NPC) Ghouls scare the crap out of me - I think it's the noise they make... For that reason I say less is more as then I can avoid them; unlike in F:3 lol

Did you go check out the old nuclear test sight? I first came across that at about level 20. Needless to say, I ended up having to reload a few times. They are kind of spread out, but once you have there attention, all hell breaks loose.

Agree! That foot padding sounnd when they are running around/toward you always freaked me out in FO3. I also say less is good, at least so far. Plus, the reavers took too much to kill!

I love feral ghouls. They are soft and cuddly and make nice squishy sounds when you cave one's head in with a super sledge :)

Mojave wasn't nuked much, so it wouldn't make much sense for there too be many ghouls there.

You can find a few ghouls at the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Old_Nuclear_Test_Site, you can find it directly south of the Wolfhorn ranch which is about NE of Nipton.

I don't feel the need to have the ghouls moan any more than they do already, I'm a bit deaf but was going through Vault 34 earlier with the sound cranked up and nearly had to go and change my underwear, it was really quite scary. It didn't help that they seemed to be coming at me out of nowhere! Walking slower sounds good though!

*BIG SPOILER*

Mr. House negotiated the safety of Vegas from the nukes. Vegas was not hit directly, therefore the lack of ghouls is attributed to that.

The Capitol Wasteland was hit directly numerous times. The massive amount of Ghouls reflects this.

I love the moans. It gives you a feeling like you are in a movie like Resident Evil/Zombieland etc.For me it's much scarier hearing distant moans in the dark abandoned vault then the default ghoul sounds :)
