Want to play Imperial but... : V

I want to play as an Imperial but I don't want to be shorter than the Nords. I know by lore Nords are tall; just wondering if anyone who is an Imperial has noticed if they are shorter than the Nords?

Or is it noticeable? I don't want to play a weak a$$ guy among giants lol

Bah size doesn't matter my Imperial warrior has killed many Nords in his time in Skyrim.

Don't let it bother you. Height has nothing to do with strength. And strong character is much more important.

You are worried about height?
Say that to my Dunmer or Bosmer, and expect an arrow to the knee.
Or a sword through your eye-socket.

Really, height got absolutely nothing to say, except for running speed.

I like being short im playing as a Breton and get a feeling all the Orcs and Nords underestimates me because of my size.

I like Altmer as well...but I notice the first person perspective does not seem to tally with the actual height difference. I mean, from a FPP (eye level) I seem to be the same height as an imperial, but in 3rd person I am quite a bit taller.

I haven't actually checked this but I'm 90% sure that all the races are the same size. I should take a look in the CK.

You are a bit shorter in third person in first person you'l always be shorter regardless of race since the eyes are in your mouth

I'll admit it's a little emasculating being shorter than my wife... but generally speaking it's not all that noticeable.

I kind of like that the Imperial I played (first character) was a bit shorter than the Nords (and Orcs and Altmer). That's exactly the way it was in Oblivion. They're the "Joe Average" race so it seems fitting they would be the height they are. If you play on PC you can adjust the scale of your character. Just go into the console, click on your character and type "setscale 1.01". They're default height is 1.00 so that would set them a few inches taller. Best thing to do is have him standing next to a Nord so you can see if you're getting to the height you want in relation to them.

Just be careful as an Imperial, since some Nords may have had too much mead and may step on you.

My main in Oblivion was an Imperial battlemage, and I barely noticed the height difference, especially since I'm in first person view mode 99% of the time. He had no trouble slaying Nords, and if any of them got on his nerves, he simply head-butted them in the groin.

My imperial chick had no problems slaughtering all the stormcloaks after defeating the empire LOL

In 52 levels I never felt at a disadvantage. Im playing nord female now, no difference.

It's very noticeable...especially if you have Lydia as a follower.

I developed a very bad case of short man syndrome...although it is funny seeing Lydia staring googly eyed at you and she has to look down.

I think you are about 4 inches or so shorter than Lydia.

Yes, since runspeed is directly related to height they are the best at running away.

NO MINE IS THE MAN AND OTHER ALTMERS HATE HIM BECAUSE HE WAS AFFILIATED WITH TERRORISTS BACK ON SUMMERSET
