Want something new to do to change NV? try this!

Hi all-

Want to change up your New Vegas experience? Maybe you are getting bored since it's 2 am and you've been playing for 7 hours straight or just looking to change it up just for kicks--

try this goofy way to simulate a survival horror theme to your New Vegas adventures-

Basically, if you approach a NPC while they are sleeping, and try to talk to them, they will get up and then follow you until they are close enough to talk to you, and then they initiate dialogue..

BUT!!!

If you move away from them as soon as you click on them to wake them up, they will then have to *slowly* follow you around the whole dang map trying to initiate that one bit of dialogue..

Sooooo...

What i did one dark and stormy night was to sneak around and wake every NPC i could find sleeping, then made sure none of them actually ever got close enough to me to start talking..

then i started doing a dungeon crawl, and slowly...creepily...the NPC "zombies" followed me into the cavern...

so i had to creep in the dark to avoid the nightstalkers and their giant denmother, and all the time avoid the stumbling but persistant Zombie NPC's!!

I decided if a zombie NPC reached me and was able to talk to me, then i was *DEAD*

lol

:P

just for fun!

the cool thing is, if you are sneaky enough, you can wake up enemy npc's by wearing their armor to fool them, even if their clan is hostile towards you, they will try to talk to you when they wake up, but immediately after they will go hostile! so those are zombies that WILL attack you if they catch you! and they will follow you almost anywhere- unconcerned with enemies/beasts/monsters- only WITH EATING YOUR BRAINS!!!!

BWAHAHHAAHAHA!!!

:)

just something to do late at night if you feel like adding some new flavor to your exploring..

the best way to do this is an area populated by alot of NPC's that will sleep at the same time, and with a nearby quest/dungeon to make it interesting!

just thought i'd post that since i was having fun with it -

have fun!

and beware the
EVIL GNOME!!!!

Awesome. :celebration:

I actually thought about exploiting the sleeping NPCs by making them follow me into areas where they might start fighting and knock out some enemies for me. I never actually tried it though.

the most i have had follow me at one time in one area is about 12 "zombies"

it's kind of a rush and helps role play to an extent imho..
