If I was Alduin...

...the first thing I would have done after letting the world know I was back by wrecking Helgen was to raise my dragon army and track down my traitor brother Paarthurnax. I love Paarthurnax but lets face it he is the reason that Alduin spent thousands of years trapped in time. I think I would have been just a little ready for revenge.

If I was Alduin and I just came back I would make the biggest crap-bombarding Whiterun has ever seen. It would be known as Blackrun from then on. Then I'd throw the most awesome dragon party ever where dragons would kick everyone out of Hall of Valor, drink all the mead we can and then compete in who has bigger ... erm thu'um. Ofc, Dragonborn would be invited too, I'd make a bet with him about who can drink more mead and say 'Yol Toor Shol' while burping. If he wins I'd agree to leave the world alone and chill, and if I win I can swallow the world and I get 2 slave chicks. Fair deal I think.

Oh, this would be a step by step plan.

I: Go meet the Thalmor, & wipe them out.

II: Use all Thalmor territory as a vacation for the rest of time.

III: Grow peaches & send them to Skyrim to be placed on the Dragonborn's grave, due to his/her head rolling around those days.

[censored] even if he didn't do that, Alduin is immortal he could have just hung out for 60 years and waited for dovakiin to die the natural death.

Hmm. Thought I read somewhere that the reason Alduin spent all those years trapped in time was because the humans of the past chose to do something they hoped was irrevocable.... I may have missed where Paarthurnax was the operative in that?

Paarth taught those fools to shout, and without shouts they couldn't have done [censored] to Alduin.

Well, actually, I thought it was something to do with the Elder Scroll, not a shout.... I don't know now, I've read so much stuff I have no clue where I read what any more....

It takes more then one thing to kill him or banish him with a scroll. He is invincible without using dragonrend, a shout.

I know he is now.... I didn't think that was the case in the past. As I said, I don't now know where I read whatever it was, and quite probably I'm not remembering correctly.

If I was Alduin, I would've snuck around not seeking any attention till I managed to resurrect a hoard of dragon army and all my ancient generals. And I certainly would have let the dragonborn die.

Quite logical! Um. Do we know that Alduin knew the Dragonborn was even alive at that point? I would have thought that'd he'd have done something to indicate he knew.... though when you meet him at Salokhnir's mound, he acts as if he's known all along.... *shrug*

It would've made more sense if the Alessian Order or the Monks of the Akatosh saved him instead of Alduin.

Edit: Or maybe even Delphine, or Pathnx.

1. Save the Dragonborn
2. Get the Dragonborn and take him to a secure location...preferably that one place that has the portal to Sovengaard
3. Offer allegiance
4. If he accepts, teach him about 1/2 of all the shouts in the language. If he doesn't accept, eat his face
5. Kill Thalmor, become Jesus

Alduin is already a Nordic God. He should've started his Dragon Cult as well.

If I was Alduin I probably do exactly what you described, however I would not kick everyone out of the hall of valor, I just make them as my personal slaves. Since I don't have hands I'm unable to make mead so I need slaves to do it for me. Anyone who is slacking off will be eaten. I would also attack and eat those scumbag blades too before the thalmor gets to them.

and I would make it a tradition to eat 2 virgin women every couple of hundred years... maybe less.

To answer any Parth's involvement questions: He learned humans to shout, helped the rebellion, humans created an anti-dragon shout themselves (as the immense hatred against dragons cannot be understood through the thu'um by dragons), then they used an elder scroll as a means (together with dragonrend) to thrust alduin into time (thinking he was actually dead/suspended forever), so yeah, him and some other dragons COULD be held responsible. But IMO I think not, because he sincerely acted surprised when you ask him how humans could make such a shout.
