I was disappointed on how easy Miraak was until... : V

Until I discovered Karstaag in the game. Holy hell was that a battle. 3 hours of dieing until I finally was able to slay the giant! I absolutely hate that you can only use his power 3 times though. That was a tough fight for such a poor reward! Seriously, I can think of only 4-5 games that have harder bosses than that guy off the top of my head.

Anyone else have the skill neccesary to slay Karstaag? :trophy:

Miraak IS a hard boss. You where probably using a OP weapon.

I was using an ebony sword, and the full dragon aspects shout, and ancient falmer armor, none of which was upgraded at all. I didn't have a problem with Miraak until the last of his health regains, at which point it finally got close.
I even lost his helm at one point and had to redo the fight, so I beat him twice without trouble. Granted, I'm playing on default settings.

Yeah I play a spell sword so when I saw him " meh another priest, bring up my ward slash the dude, brind down ward, rinse and repeat then he used lighting storm... by by magicka ( and health)...

He three hit Durnehviir when I summoned him to help.

I thought the boss fight was epic, its atmoshpere was amazing.
With three dragons fighting overhead and the first and the last dragonborn duking out, using all of there power and Thum against each other.

Oh the atmosphere of the fight was insane. Not to mention his little speech before the fight. I was pumped. But when my ebony sword kind of ripped him apart 3 or 4 times it kind of felt like fighting some random mage with a ton of health. Could have used moer of his tenticle attacks. Those were sweet.

Meh he used his Thum ALOT, more then Alduin by a ton.

I don't think Miraak was easy, but then, he wasn't hard either. For Bethesda games, this is how I prefer their main quest 'bosses'. Leave the really, really challenging boss fights to some side quests. IMO.

If I hadn't of packed a fair amount of health potions, he would have killed me.

Kaarstag is a pain in the [censored], only fought him once and boy oh boy.. Had Sero and my Riekling follower. They were knocked down almost instantly by his frost storm (and I couldn't even see that they were) so when I went to Fus Ro Dah the giant to start the fight... both my followers got disintegrated. :laugh:

actually he isnt a reskin of a frost giant karstag was a frost giant in life.

The only way I see people actually beating him is either the smithing/enchanting OP gear (which they'd still be in for a tough fight) or doing what I did and ran from one side of the room to the other blasting magic or something at him. Luckily I was a vampire so I was 75% resistant to frost. That helped alot xD

I didn't know I had another Better Sword with me, I was on the 3rd or 4th difficulty, And it was pretty hard killing Miraak.

But yeah, He was pretty easy, Harder Than the other 2 bosses though.

I like to ( because I have no life) imagine what the fight would be like 'in real life ' ( more realistic) I would think that the two dragons would begin to attack saratohar ( the dragon you ride) and you summon Duurhneviir to help him out, much to Miraak's amazement. ( Yes i need help

Miraak? lore-wise nothing. Dragonrend was a shout designed by men to combat dragons. Miraak is a dragonborn. It wouldn't be suprising if he knew dragonrend himself

If you meant one of the dragons, they should be sent to the ground.

Karstaag was hard back in Bloodmoon and not surprise he is hard now. Actually, nvm. He was one-shot for me in Bloodmoon. (Ebony Arrow of Slaying XD).

Anyways. From what I've heard, he is prolly going to be one of the 5 hardest bosses... Though he wont be as hard as some other bosses I've fought (Like Nomad from RuneScape... Seriously spent days trying to DEFEAT him... Didn't even killed him!).
