Water and Game Freeze Issue

Post » Wed Jul 18, 2012 2:04 pm

Hello,

I have been experiencing some major issues and game freezes after the last update for the PS3 version.

Everytime I enter any body of water to the point where the character is supposed to swim, the game freezes. It's so bad, that I can no longer swim in Skyrim at all. Some quests require you to access islands in lakes with no land bridge or man made bridge, so as a result, I have to abandon the quests. This is very irritating and I am hoping that thye next patch that allows mounted combat will fix this.

Has anyone else experienced this bug?

It's been debated here that this happens to a very small and insignificant amount of people :/

Follow the instructions here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1364560-game-freeze-after-going-underwater/

If you got questions, there are great people here willing to help you :)

I think only one person on the forum claimed it was a small number of people affected based on the fact that HE hadn't had the bug.

The rest of us know the more likely scale of those affected, mainly due to our own experiences both gaming and industry related, there is even a damn programmer lurking about just don't feed him chocolate, ;) and yes there are plenty of people on here willing to help.

Welcome to the forums OP.

No you werre correct to say it was debated I wasn't correcting you at all, just pointing out it was pretty one sided LOL. :D

I think you are right, those who took a break from the game and are updating before trying to play will be the main source but we can just point them to the workaround sticky that the community came up with. :)

Just one more thing. If I delete all of the update data, won't all of the other problems that the game had previously come back to haunt me? Or does the 1.5 update contain all fixes to this point?

All the fixes are in the 1.5 patch.

Ignorance rubs me the wrong way. Willfull ignorance with a dash of misinformation just pisses me off to no end. I don't know if you saw the other thread I'd mentioned in that one post but that comment was just as stupid as the h2o glitch only effects some people one was.
