Is water better from a bottle or glass?

I only drink water that has first spent a decent period of time in the presence of a tea bag. I guess that means a mug would be the closest answer.

I used to buy a 2 liter bottle of water and refill it with tap water but it's amazing how few refills it takes for the water to start tasting plasticy. So I bought http://www.thermos.com/product_details.aspx?ProdID=943&CatCode=HYDR&q= and solved that issue. So I guess I'd say bottle, as long as it's the right kind of bottle.

Tap water, I don't trust bottle companies.

They just try to make a quick buck by using tap water and putting it in a bottle and a fancy label with the promise of getting it from some fresh spring.

For actual taste? I use the same water bottle. Glass pitchers are nice though.

I cannot truthfully answer your question.
It depends on the purity of the water, and the cleanliness of the drinking receptacle. And also, what activity I have been engaged in.

That said, a tall glass crushed ice and filtered water from the fridge is wonderful, especially after working in the yard.
A frozen bike bottle of water during a hot ride is also refreshing.
My brother has nasty sulfur water , so when at his house, it's bottled from a dispenser.
I try not to buy bottled water, it's not only wasteful in terms of plastic refuse, but labeling can be misleading.

Does it really matter what you drink it from? If you're talking tap water vs. bottled water, I'll take tap water. Although now I have to use a pitcher with a filter since we no longer use our well and now have town water that tastes like pool water for all the chlorine in it, I'm not much a fan of either now, unless it's been run through a coffee percolator that is lol.

I'm not a big water drinker, I never just get a cup and get water out of the sink. The only time I drink water is when I go to a gas station and buy a bottle of it. so...bottle.

Who cares so long as it's clean and you're thirsty! :P

I'm partial to plastic bottles though. I like nalgene type bottles, but I'm not so stuffy as to not use regular old disposable plastic bottles too. Drinking straight water from a mug just feels strange to me, and I can never drink large enough volumes from a glass cup.

Bottle is the better container for me, however the water in my bottle came from a tap (I just like it cooled in the fridge first and ready to take out wherever).

Well?

Yes, water is best right out of a deep water well. :P

Or right out of a natural spring.

But when drinking my well water after it goes through our pipes and out the facet, I like to use a clear mason jar filled with ice.

Really depends on the city. I know my friends never drink anything off the tap in Guan Dong, but water quality is fine off the tap here in Hong Kong.
