Water sound playing in all cells

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 1:29 am

I have a house mod that I've been working on and somehow I seem to have made it so that the sound of running water plays in every cell in the game.

The only time I've every played with sound effects is when giving my house a sound profile and adding a couple of emitters for water features. I've gone through all of the acoustic space base properties to make sure I didn't accidentally change something but I'm not having much success?

Anyone know what I might have done to cause this? >.>

Bump.

I've been through just about every acoustic space, sound effect and cell that I've ever been close to and I can't find the problem. :yuck:

...and bump. Sorry to keep bumping, just can't figure this out!

The mod itself is here if anyone would be so good as to take a look: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9541

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

First I guess its an int-cell so start looking for soundplayers in your cell-object window (cannot remember what it is called but it shows all the objects in the current cell)
If that does not help, try look under interior cell propeties and see if the music and acoustic is set to none or something appropiate I think I saw a propertie that was called something like outside worldspace that could be set to whiterun etc so maybe thats the problem, otherwise check for other mods that could be the problem.

Btw bumping twice within an hour is not very popular here (once is not either). If you can't figure something out right now, you propably find it yourself within a day, and if you do not and the forum has had no answers then u can bump

I have checked the acoustic spaces. All of them. Nothing out of the ordinary there. As this issue affects every single interior cell in the game it would appear to be something more extensive than the properties of my one cell. The interior cells I have created have the 'intStoneRoomMedium' default acoustic space and the 'MUSTownTest' music type. I have tried turning both of those off just in case - same issue. I have also removed all placed sound descriptors from my mod and had the same problem.

I have gone through each and every acoustic space file to make sure I didn't add a water sound effect anywhere. Aside from the ambient interior sound and music I haven't been able to find anything that affects interior sounds globally. How I accomplished this I have no idea. >.>

This only happens with my mod. Myself and other have confirmed that.

Thanks for your input on bumping. I will bear that in mind... consider me deeply chastised.

Okay sorry for not being very helpfull, it sounds weird, have you changed any global settings or played around with some existing scripts? and do you even recond that you have worked with a water sound file?

Have the same issue... ambient sound plays everywhere.

My steps so far:

I′ve duplicated a soundobject and adjusted pitch, looping and freq-shift.
I′ve created a duplicate of a BFXobject and changed its sound to the new created.
I placed that new BFX into my cell and tested

now it is playing everywhere and everytime, but not with the adjustments I made, sound like the original one...

I removed everything from the cell - still playing
I deleted every duplication - still playing

I loaded a very old savegame - playing there as well!

I restored a BackUp-file from yesterday - and silence again -it is... seems to be another a CK bug...

Since I don′t need that sound I rebuilt the changes I′ve made today and stay away from sound-tweaks!

Or maybe someone has a solution ...
