Watts with this?

Getting a better power supply, I am looking for around 500-550w. It looks like a good number as it leave plenty room for future upgrades. I am looking for a sturdy, well made type with a good reputation.

A name or Link would be great.

Note: I’m not on a Dell but rather an Hp. If you need more information give me a shout, thanks. )Standard(

I have a Corsair HX 750W that's pretty nice. Modular is definitely a must have. Seasonic is also a really good brand.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151098 a really good Seasonic 80Plus Gold Certified PSU. Extremely efficient.

Just to verify: It's a standard tower, right? Not a slim tower? If it's slim you probably won't be able to upgrade the PSU, or pay out the butt doing so.

So I think I might get the

Corsair 650TX Power Supply (CMPSU-650TX)

I was thinking the 750 but to pay a higher price for something with to much beef seems pointless. Is the 650 a pretty good buy? Corsair is one of the top brands I believe so I think this should be good unless anyone else has some pointers.

Yeah, that's a good buy. Although you might have a better time fitting it all in a case with a modular power supply, so there aren't a ton of extra cables just sitting in your case for no reason.

Like this for example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139031

It's also 80+ Bronze instead of just regular 80+, which is rather important. Personally I would never be able to let myself use less than 80+ Gold, but that's just me. The ratings tell you how efficient the PSU is required to be under load conditions, and the better the rating the more efficient it is, the cooler it runs, and the less power it uses from your outlet (lower electricity bill).
