37k is not that much. You can spend most of it to implants and buy one good armor. Thats about it.
This is true, though I still wouldn't say I was challenged for money in the late game, even though I've yet to actually get banned from any casinos other than the Tops and the Atomic Wrangler. Actually, a lot of it came from selling weapons that I looted, considering that good guns can easily sell for over a thousand caps, I've noticed that automatic weapons seem to be especially expensive. That can add up to quite a lot if you sell everything you find.
It's a pretty common thing in RPGs, though, at the start, you tend to feel like no matter what you do, you don't have enough money for anything, but in the late game, you could pretty much swim in the money you have, had it not been for the fact that money doesn't behave like water. I'd say New Vegas is actually more reasonable as it includes some things that are expensive and still worth buying at high levels. In many RPGs, you don't have much reason to buy anything in the late game because you can probably find any items still worth using at that point in loot, and you can get them for free as long as you kill whatever enemies are guarding them. If you buy them, you actually have to pay for them, assuming they're even for sale at all.
