Ways to improve the NEXT ES.

Just a few Ideas I have that can only make the ES series BETTER in the future. Feel free to add you're 2 cents as well, just no trolling or flameing please.

1. Torches - torches (and light spells) need to be implemented in a way where they truly make a difference. For example, when I walk into a crypt or cave that hasn't been inhabited in a few centuries, I should be welcomes to pure darkness.. the prelit walls, corridors, and rooms, of skyrims dungeons are nice but not realistic. I should have to bring my own torch to explore and than relight all the walls corridors and rooms along the way (creating a better sense of immersion imo. Obviously the true aspects would have to be tweaked.. but I think it's a great idea. the same goes with getting rid of prelit flames in thusly creating darkness.

2. Spell making- just implement it better.

3. Ability to change clothing colors.- *cough* Fable *cough* Implemented it perfectly with the use of "dyes" found in game. Why can't ES?

4. Increase the prices on almost EVERYTHING. - give me a reason and sense of accomplishment when purchasing special items. Houses should be in the 30k-100k region in the first place.. I should have to really work for it! thus creating the illusion of accomplishment, and also giving me more of a reason to continue playing..

5. if you're going to bring back enchanting (which I doubt will happen the way it is now) at least make soul gems way more rare, harder to come by, once again creating a better sense of accomplishment instead of just spamming crappy enchantments just for the sake of leveling.

6. More reasons and distinctions to choose a specific race. - This can be noticed the most with argonians.. theres not one single in game situation that I can only benefit from by being an argonian. underwater exploration is non- existant. Kahjit should run faster.

7. Expand Magic schools. - I can bring a dead human back to life, but I can't bring back a dead bear or sabercat? This subject could be a topic on it's own, so I'll just say this.. instead of taking away things, why not try to improve them? give us more options please.

8.hardcoe mode - I have to eat to survive, Sleep is crucial or I'm not as good in combat, perhaps I can only wander so far without being forced to rest. no compass, or fast travel, etc just ideas but they did a good job at the fallout series with hardcoe mode. i'm over 300 hours into skyrim and I've yet to drink a glass of water.

9. Get rid of radiant quests. - I'd rather have 50 amazing quests that I can look back on and thoroughly enjoy over an endless supply of deliver this, kill that type quest ANY DAY. anyone care to disagree? if so you're a [censored].

10. Fix broken skills that kill immersion. Stealth is a prime example. When I can walk up to a guard in broad daylight without being noticed.. theres something wrong.

11.Bring back Skills and attributes.. AND keep perks. FO did an excellent job.. but the perks we have in skyrim are somewhat broken and need to be rethought.

12. Favorites list was a good idea, but Revamp the 2 hotkeys back to 8 (console players) and have whatever is equipped in 1 or 2 hands as a hotkey on its own.. example: healing spell in left hand, glass sword in right hand mapped to LEFT. or conjure familiar in left hand, flame spell in right hand mapped to UP.

13. Bring back weapon and armor degrade.

14. Ability to delete unwanted side quests, spells, and unwanted locations on the map.

15. 3D map. - It was a good idea but not implemented to its fullest potential, many argue the old paper style map was easier to read, me including. however the 3D map shouldnt take weather (like cloud cover) and light or darkness into consideration.. It's pointless.

16. Revamp the carriage system. You make it to easy for us to find the major cities.. giving us no sense of acomplishment and ideally giving us a lazy way out. Heres an idea, make us sit on the carriage in realtime all the way to the city.. at least we have the ability to see the sights, landmarks, and this even opens up an oppertunity for more unique encounters,

17. Why did you get rid of 1st person view on horseback...

18. Puzzles- great idea for the series.. however i don't believe that ANYONE thinks they are challengeing. and are all the same paste and copy style template.

19. NPC dialogue changes after certain events. aka, the guild members should recognize me as their leader after completeing the guild quests.

20. Negative effects of not sleeping.

21. Why aren't there mirrors on skyrim? seeing ourselves other than 3rd person are nice touches to create immersion of who we are trying to be. perhaps commissioned paintings or statues?

22. This one may be a bit of a stretch.. but get rid of the compass and create a more natural way of knowing which direction you are heading. How many of you have a habbit of stareing at the compas while traversing the wilderness more than the actual terrain? this could fit under hardcoe mode perhaps?

23. unique evasive techniques - backflips, cartwheels, side-rolls,. wonder why they took this out of oblivion?

24. Ability to knock on doors (to get them to answer, let you in, or to know if nobody is home)

25. More MATURE rated combat..for a mature rated game, it sure feels like we're playing a game geared towards a younger group. Sure we got decapitations.. but take it a few steps further and make it more rare.

these are just a few of the ones I've thought up, does anyone else agree or have any other interesting ideas?
