Hey so in all the videos I've seen, the player only has his weapon out on missions/ near enemies. So my questions are can you pull out your weapon anytime, and if you can, are you able to kill npc's. The second question is less important but not being able to pull your weapon out in an open environment would be a deal breaker.

No, I would assume you can't kill npc's as this isn't a RPG

I think you have been spoiled by Fallout New Vegas, you have to understand that FNV is the best game ever created and there is nothing even close like it.

Rage is an FPS with touches of role. Not a RPG like Fallout.
