weathered 10mm pistol

Post » Tue Apr 12, 2011 7:00 am

I placed a laser sight on the weathered 10 mm pistol from the gamestop pre-order package, and now when equipped it puts a white haze around the character. when dropped it has a big red and white exclamation mark. has anyone else come across this?

That should have been fixed with the 1.02 patch.

does anyone know if this 'bug' has been solved after the patch? i tried the laser sight again but it seems to do absolutely nothing now. not even the red haze or exclaimation mark. all it did was increase the value of the gun.

it has, but the weathered 10mm didn't have any textures put in with the mods attached, so it just looks the same. by adding a laser sight your weapon spread is reduced.

it's a lot better than what it was like before, you couldn't mod it at all due to the bugs that happened if you did.

the spread maybe reduced but theres still no laser sight so its still a very poor patching of the weapon in my opinion. very disappointed.

i agree that it doesnt look right, but the fact that unique weapons(which is what the weathered 10mm is) aren't supposed to be modded makes me surprised the patching team even bothered adding the effects to the weapon at all. they could have just fixed the bug and left it unable to be modified.

think about it this way, if they were planning on allowing it to be modified, they would have done the appropriate textures for it originally before the game was released. if there was a problem loading the textures, they would have fixed it, but there were no textures and they didn't have time to get a design team to make them. people wanted a patch, which didn't fix everything, cuz people still want a patch....I'm seeing a pattern, one that was also evident in F3....the game will never be perfect.

i totally agree with you, but why bother letting you upgrade the pistol at all if they werent going to do it properly? all or not at all in my opinion. it wouldnt have taken much sorting because lets face it, its virtually identical to the 10mm. i know the games far from perfect but i just feel that this issue shouldve been properly addressed. there may be a better spread, but the main reason you buy the mod is for the laser sight.

yeah, they probably could have just used the textures for the normal 10mm, I don't think they're different in appearance... I'm just surprised they allowed it to be modified at all, I thought the patch would just fix the glitches and bugs that happened when you tried to mod it.
