So while running around Vegas I decided my Weathered 10mm needed a laser. Bought one, put it on. Now when I go to use it my character is surrounded by a huge square with an ! in the middle of it when I try to use the gun. The weapon does not appear in my hand when equipped but I am still able to shoot things with it. It's just graphics I think. Any suggestions? I don't think I can take the laser off either.

Try making a game save and loading that and see if it helps. If not, you might want to roll back to a previous save.

lol! Sounds like missing mesh. Looks like the mesh for 10mm + laser sight got misplaced.

This happens to me too. I've tried re-loading to before I put the mod on it and everytime I put the silencer on it - the giant exclamation mark goes over my character.

I tried this combo as well and it just turned the whole screen super bright or opaque.

I have this exact same problem. Only difference is i used 10mm Extended Magazine mod on my weathered pistol. Now whenever I equip it the screen goes bright from the huge white "!" being in my way. PITA

I think the moral of this story is to not put attachments on the Weathered 10mm Pistol.
