In my dreams Skyrim has more RPG value. Mods will make that dream come true.

lol. I don`t think i`ve ever been more corrected about Skyrim not being as important as other things in life before!

I once got ridiculously addicted to a game once. It was actually an Online game. I think I was on it straight for about 48 hours. (You see internet gaming never ends).

After that I had to take a long hard look at my life and stopped playing any online games at all for about 5 years. Even now I`m extremely careful not to let any game become more important than family, work or even just a walk in the park.

p.s. I should be thankful to Steam too, cos that horrible thing has done a lot to put me off buying games.

I still don't understand...

Before the game was released there was much hype. And now that it is released, and we can actually play it, the op likens it to a dream. What if we're all just dreaming and its really still november 10th? :P

i think that's what the op is saying.

I think the only games to have ever gripped me to such an extent i would think about playing them when i wasn't playing them, was Civ 3 and Championship Manager 01/02 (series now called Football Manager).

I find myself wishing it was a dream, and that it wasn't the final product sometimes. But it was definitely better than I expected.

I suspect she needs to take a little holiday off the game. Maybe for a few days. There are more (and better) things in life than Skyrim. Really there is.

Albert Einstein.
As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain, and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality.

Uhm, Skyrim is not real.

Not everyone has English as their mother tongue

As I recall, Mr. EpicFail is from England. I think they speak English there.

Blasphemy!!! ;)

Well, okay (he said begrudgingly) you are probably right. But still, it is a pretty cool game so I can understand someone getting stoked about it. No harm in dreaming.

I was captivated at first, but within two weeks, the hype started to decrease. The world seemed hollow. I didn't quite get the experience I had when I played Oblivion, so I've taken a break now and I'm going to continue on PC instead and perhaps make a few mods as well, to try to rekindle my passion for it.

I had something similar.

I played xbox version for a couple months from release day, then I saw Jaysus swords mod and just mentally crumbled to my knees and cried, "I NEED the PC version", bought that, got everything going, got more mods than I could reasonably explain in words, and within 5 minutes of playing, I knew I was missing out, but no longer!
PC elitists may be asses sometimes, but they certainly know what they are going on about. (Mostly)(I'm gonna stop before I get accused of flame-baiting, I am not, I just can't express how much happier the PC version made me over the xbox version.)
