Now to start things off... this is not a COMPLAINT topic. More of a "countdown" topic if you will...

From what i've heard it apparently should only take 1 Week for Certification for the DLC/TU? But, now it's officially been 3 Weeks since we even got word of anything (since June 23rd). THEN, another rumor circulated which seems to be true is that since Sony got hacked we're basically waiting on THEM to catch up.

So, instead of them updating only on Wednesdays they up date on Tuesdays & Thursdays because of it. Then someone (who plays PS3) said that they update the PSN Store around 6:00 PM. I figured i'd hop off Reach and go check the Marketplace.

I even signed out, back in... nothing. Even turned off my X360 for a minute then brought it back. Still nothing...

I'm honestly sick of waiting now... just like everyone else on these forums. But i'm staying true to this game, and i'm trying to be patient. I just ask you why can't we get an update on this whole scenario? You have so many fans (at least on these forums) who are ready to charge your door down with Torches and Pitchforks...

TL;DR - Enough with the silent treatment already!

I'm with you totally on this one, so many loyal players but yet we've had no word recently and to be honest I am clueless at what is going on? :confused:

Sony and Microsoft have it. Who knows with such huge companies. It probably got lost in the recycling been when some intern dropped his bosses coffee.

Yea it is just a strange scenario all in all. And where is it stated that they have already given the DLC to Micro and Sony? I hope they have. I am having fun with the game, I'm just looking forward to the patch probably more than the new maps.

I didn't believe this Thursday thing at all. When I said they missed there window on Tuesday, they missed it.

I just can't believe people still defend them on this subject. I mean I like the game, but this is a whole different matter >_>. They should say something at least.

I give 'em til Saturday, 11:59 PM. If nothing by midnight... PUSH THEM INTO THE SEA, BROTHERS! And rant a lot...

I have to agree, while I do like the game and I usually give people the benefit of a doubt, I think SD keeping silent at this time is a bit disrespectful to the community. If they are aware of any sort of issues which causes this delay, and if it's on Microsoft or Sony's end, they should at least notify us. At the very least it's the honest thing to do, and keeping silent is only a step away from lying. SD finished creating the DLC which is a kudos for them, but I think the most pressing question on everyone's mind is what exactly is holding it back? I don't think this delay is SDs fault at all mind you, but SD should be inclined to update us on any news.

Doesn't matter. I'm a hopeful person. They said "early July", so I give them until the end of the week before I go on a rampage. If nothing before the end of NEXT week, I'll have lost most hope.

i know, i know. It's not SD's fault. But if I'm SD or Bethesda, I would release a statement right bout now to say something. An ideal response would of course be them telling us that they have asked the ppl at M$ and Sony when exactly the update is going to go live even if they don't get a definite reply. Instead of this radio silence that's only serving to piss more ppl off.

Also, if the thing is going to be pushed to mid or God forbid end of July, it wud help them to tell us beforehand and apologize instead of waiting for the very last moment.

Not too fussed about the dlc. I just wish they'd fix the f**king game. I tried to play with mates in the us and australia again tonight and as usual the game turned into a juddering mess before we gave up and moved on to Halo. I dont like Halo that much but f**k me, at least it works. It has a lobby. It has a large variety of game modes. It has a clearly laid out menu system and most importantly, it doesn't f&*kin fall apart when you play online.

the amount of loyal fans this game has is getting lower and lower the longer we dont have the DLC and they say noThing about it or anything about the game to us.... what are they trying to commit 'game suicide' or somthing? I dont understand... all they haveto do is tell everyone whats going on and stop people getting so pissed about it.... its really not hard is it..... its simple.... just update the people who play your game on whats going on..... and in this situation YOU NEED TO UPDATE FAST

I dont think its to do with Sony specificly.... I really dont, all other games DLC have come out the right time the last month, Sony isnt the excuse for it being late atall I think... either is microsoft, my guess is that it has had problems and hasent got past confirmation stage and had problems that they are trying to fix.... which would actually make sense seeming the stat the game was shipped in. Remeber this is a big download aswell 500mb [thats about ALL the information we got on the DLC the last 4 weeks lol, after someone bumped up the 100's of threads about the DLC of questions unanswered [there was 100's lol] on the SD forums a Mod popped up out of his sleeping bed then posted that, then went back into hibernation and deleting any DLC related posts and banning people]
But its all just guesses and speculation as we dont know f all about it................

im always ejecting brink and then starting it back up to see if the DLC is out...im also tired of waiting.. SAY SOMETHING SLASH DAMAGE!!!!

Lol yeh his job seems a good deal, all he does is sit there banning people and deleting topics they dont want people to see. occaisonly trying to answere needless questions that dont mean anything and now one cares about. Hes more of a forum mod than a 'Community relations manager'

I totally agree. They at least have an idea of when it should be out. How hard is it to post a time frame of when it should be available? I love the game, but come on.....

its the fact that they know and knew for a fact wether the DLC was NOT goingto be out at the expected time 'early june' atleast more than a week ago... just like last month when everyone expected it to be out they knew for a fact it wouldnt be out long before but only told everyone at the very end of the month..... If a company doesnt know when there DLC is goingto be out then it has problems.... all companies can give a firm release date for their DLC around 2 weeks before it is out, but for some reason they cant with Brink..... Its obviously got problems with the DLC getting past conrimation and they just arent keeping us up to date with whats going on, leaving everyone to epxect it when they said.

Splash Damage is just building up anticipation. Can't you feel the electricity in the air? The DLC is going to be EPIC. There's going to be so many people trying to download before the 2 week deadline it's going to be a mad house. I can honestly say, there are only like 1% people who bought Brink who won't get the DLC and play! Everybody else is frothing at the mouth for this thing. All the complaints represent a minuscule percentage. GO BRINK!

Yeh.... building up anticipation.... if anything they are sepecificly trying to not do that after they did that over the top for the actual game in advertisments and not shuttin up about how good it was... showing everyone videos of the old build of the game which technicly looked great on the consoles [no joaggies, good aa,good textures], then it shipped and wasnt what some people thought and had many problems and didnt work for the first few weeks, and for some it still doesnt work very well online. Which comes to my next point.... "there are only like 1% people who bought Brink who won't get the DLC and play!" Do you know how many pre owned copies of Brink there are in the shops? THOUSANDS lol, its a shame but its true..... ALLOT of people who brought Brink have traded it in,, hell even in just the first week of it being out thousand of copies were traded in, I dread to think how many it is now. Ino your trying to be opitmistic, but I dont see the DLC to do much with the player base, people will come back on for a few weeks then itle die down again sadly, SD just needs to get off their @ss and tell everyone whats going on as not to lose more people than this game already has.

Well seeing as Sony got hacked, and that we're waiting on THEM to Update period yes it's Sony. Apparently SD wants all DLC to be released simultaneously across platforms (PC/360/PS3). THAT'S why we're waiting so long...

It's the truth, any sony really devoted fan who wants to fight me against it go ahead. I know the facts.

Also like someone stated earlier... I REALLY want the TU more now then the DLC. ANYTIME I go play online ppl spam CARB-9 ALL day like it was a religion! I'm done with that crap... at least give me the update for weapon tweaks already seriously?

I just don't get it... it's almost been a MONTH AGAIN. They really need to stop waiting until the LAST literal second to say something. I don't know if they're egotistic or elitist or WHAT but you guys really need to pull your head outta your ass...

So what if sony got hacked, that was months ago theyre not hacked any more it hasnt stopped any other games dlc being late, infact its been better.
You make it sound as if you know and its a fact, it really isnt and you really dont know anything.... your just guessing and it means nothing, you dont know, no one knows.
Considering the circumstances and no other games having any problems with PSN store infact its perfect lately it would be a guess that makes more sense that its Microsofts fault just as much a Sony's, but it makes even more sense that its SD's fault that for some reason it hasnt or is taking so long to pass certification unlike any other games DLC on both platforms, and considering the state the game was shipped in it makes much more sense than what you say, its all guesses your point doesnt make sense atall considering the circumstances.

Its not the truth, its not about being a fan of anyone either? what facts? give me the facts please, not assumptions that hold not much realism on other assumtions that make sense

They are taking the mick with this silent treatment, already more than half the origional player dont play the game and lately allot more have left, and more poeple are leaving the longer they stay quiet, its like they know they've had their money out of everyone and would actually rather people dont play it so they have less demand to do things, which is actually working out well for them as they have some people actually defending them on the situation, most of the people who arent deluded have either left the game already so they dont haveto worry about them or are still here but very dissapointed and p1ssed off, most people dont even bother to worry about it its so bad.

I never pointed the FULL finger at Sony. I was just saying if ANY IF anyone that would be causing a tug in the line it'd be them. I myself have owned a PS3. I KNOW how big the updates are and how many of them! That's why i've always loved XBL, updates take moments/minutes. Just saying...

I also blame SD for not thinking ahead/preparing ahead for this whole thing. The community's been eating each other like cannibalistic creatures! It's just the whole radio silence of it all really. Being kept in a damp stale and dirty cave for a Month. Then, here comes SD to rescue us and help us get out of the cave and into the light. JUST right before were all about to start eating one another... catch my drift?

Everyone including myself is all rawr rawr rawr, me want DLC ugh!!! Then when we do get news it's like getting a lollipop from the doctor as a kid after getting a poke! It soothes us all and takes our mind off the anger... for a couple weeks-ish.

Then, we are all back at were we started. Mere caveman waiting for the day of the invention known as "Fire". :flamethrower:

I honestly tried playing the game again a couple times today... and nobody. I'm just trying to get my other 2 characters to 20 before the DLC arrives. So i've been playing Campaign VS AND Co-Op...

I found a couple people... a few amount of times... but man I missed the 8 Humans vs 8 AI matches sometimes. If we were all beast and knew wtf we had planned. We just dominated them and walked over them. THOSE were some fun times.
