So I do the Frost Quest... Let Letrush have Frost... few days later I run into him being chased outside of Riften, Letrush not Frost. He's killed by a heavily armored guy who says he's a merc sent by Maven Blackbriar.

A few in-game weeks later Letrush starts showing up at Whiterun stables, over and over. What I mean is he shows up there and then another copy of him shows up. So I've heard of this glitch and after I've got four of him I kill them off one by one while the others run back and forth.

A few more in-game weeks go by and there's Letrush again outside the stables (so the cell reset, I can live with it)

The really weird part - When I approch Letrush he moves away from me and says, "No, No, don't hurt me again."

I nearly died laughing....

Wow. That is weird. Horse Thieves never forget. ...or is it Slavers? I guess both.

I erased him via the console. I still have to check whether he respawns 'though. He shouldn't, as the old gildergleam tree didn't respawn either, and I erased that one with the same command. I have met him several times in the wilds too, however. First time was when he met up with that orc thug, giving Maven's regards (causing Letrush to die, and me killing the orc as "rebuttal"). Next time he was running towards an ice wraith, and I left him to fend for himself. And a while later I met him again, meeting with that same thug. Seems like Letrush took his precautions concerning Maven, and let a lot of look-alikes wander around Skyrim.

I also have 4 of him and 3 of them are buried halfway down into the pavement. It is really funny.

I've never seen him killed by a hired goon, but once did have as many as four of him outside of the stables of Whiterun. On one character he assaulted me and the guards used him for target practice. On this current guy there's only been the one Letrush standing there. I finally gave him the "markfordelete" ticket, so maybe he'll be gone for good this time.

Ha! I thought I was the only one who had a herd of Letrushes standing outside Whiterun stables! Very funny. I reckon this is the real objective of the game; forget the return of the dragons, it's the Letrush-horde you have to fight before they take over Tamriel.

heh, i had this aswell and i ended up killing all of them outside whiterun, killed one and all the others ran awway at random, ended up with a massive bounty in riften when i went back evem though i killed them all outside whiterun.

The only NPC this happened to me with is Belethor, two of them in his (their?) store.

How were you able to kill him?

There have been a bunch of threads already about this issue and as far as I know, he's been un-killable.

I have 3 and a half in my game and have tried killing him multiple times. None of them ever die. They just crouch over like the essential NPC's do.

I'm guessing he's not too essential after Frost Quest.

I just shot him with arrows, 2-3 each copy of him. It was so funny watching the others run away and back until I killed them all.

He has not spawned any copies in over 30 in-game days now... He also no longer says anything about hurting him any more.
