Weird auto save error : Fallout: New Vegas

Hey thanks for checking my post..I really hope you can help. I'm gonna add the rest of my plea for help in spoilers to avoid ruining someones day. =)

Also I learned back from Oblivion not to play with Auto Saves on with Travel/Sleep/Rest so 1 of the first things I do is turn it off right after install of the game.

Ok so this is the first time my character meets up with the Boomers. She made her way thru the bombardment to the main gate. It's here that the game "forces" you to talk to 2 people and then your teleported into Pearls shack. @ this time the game auto saves for you even if you have auto saves off. From this point on I can't save the game again. If I try to save it either by manuel or quick save it crashes out. So I'm able to save all day long before being taken into Pearls shack. Quick saves or maneul saves. No issues. However after I'm taken into her shack & the game saves for me it just bonks out everytime I try to save. Any suggestions?

Just wanted to post a answer to my own issue. It seems the game makes you auto save @ that part & by doing the following I was able to get a stable manuel save.

try the following steps:

1) allow the Courier to be killed, or blow yourself up. it should restart to the last save and somehow this fixes corrupt autosave files.

2) restart game and change settings to turn of auto-save on travel and auto-save on wait

3) suicide yourself one more time just in case

4) going forward only use manual saves

Werked 4 me. Happy again.
