My powers of prediction have come up with the following: Too many mods/high settings, not enough video card memory.

(This is a classic symtom of such a situation, take out some of your mods or lower your settings or buy a video card with more memory onboard)

This is actauly a bug that many users, even those that don't have any mods installed at all run into.. 99% of the time a simple exit out of game and reload the save will fix it.. Sadly it seems to get more and more common as the game progresses and seems to be a pre-cursor to the [censored] up "Save size CTD" being disscussed here:

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1318498-ctd-save-file-size/

I have a working thoery that both these were caused by starting a new game near realease(v 1.1) and continueing the same character throughout the patches up to 1.3.. I base that on the fact I started seeing the purple textures and CTD's roughly 30 hours in and once I hit 165Hr and a 18MB save I started getting persistant predictable CTD's along with a slew of other issues.. I started a new game and i'm about 92 hours in and have seen no purple textures and only had 3 CTD's occuring around 70 hours which were withen a few hours of each other but a system reboot later and I didn't get another for over 20 hours so I'm hoping those 3 were unrealated to file size/time played and these two issues won't plauge my second character....

It's kind of hard to say becuase on this second playthorugh I altered some of the way that I play. i.e. not leaving clutter around the world map, and not hoarding thousands of items in my houses, I instead opt to only take what I actaully need realizing that I won't ever sell 90% of the crap I loot anyway and will never use it. I also know what ingredents I'll actaully use for potions and don't pick them from the world nearly as much as I just collect what I need when I'm running low on that particular potion... so it could be a combo of that is causing less oppurtinity for whatever is causing the save to become unstable...

wnaywya what size is your save file, and did you start this particluar character near release and have been playing him/her since? Keep us up to date once your save hits around 16-18MB and let us know if you start to see more and more issues as you get farthur.

Just you wait. A year from now, that mod list will be considered tiny.

Anyways, what you are seeing is a classic symptom of the game running out of memory and being unable to load in new textures.

Your DXDiag does not contain everything we need to see, so go back and post the whole thing. Preferably in spoiler tags to keep post size managable.

Actually i found a suggestion on facebook under the skyrim hd page that it was a mesh issue. So i deleted the nif files went back into game and everything is fine. So more or less it was a mesh issue.
